Love that it's magnetic so it's always on my fridge ready to grab. I think the temperature is accurate because everything comes out the way I want it.

I purchased this little thermometer back in 2016 (this review is in 2025) and have been using it ever since. It's been a relatively faithful tool during that time. The size is great, it's small and out of the way and the magnet is really handy.Let's talk about accuracy for a minute. Over the last few years it seemed to start eating batteries more and more frequently, also it seemed like the accuracy was drifting. Nothing bad but not as pinpoint accurate as it once was.My only real complaint about the unit is the lack of a back light. When grilling outside in the winter I needed to have some extra light from a headlamp or flashlight to read the display.My unit started failing this year, started noticing the display staying on when the probe was stowed away, some wonky things on the display, and the temp readout slowly fluctuating up and down. Again though after 9 years, I have no complaints it last a good long time for the value.I would absolutely recommend this little unit for the price point.

As a professional chef, I need a thermometer that is fast, reliable, and convenient. The magnetic feature is just as useful as its foldable design—it keeps me from accidentally poking myself and makes storage much easier than traditional thermometers. I was so impressed with my first one that I bought a second for my other residence. I highly recommend this to anyone in need of a quality thermometer.

this thermometer works great, I use it daily and when my first one broke down I bought another one. The first one broke down after 4-5 years of usage because of a failure on my part. Its not waterproof but its water resistant.

I bought my Javelin in Dec 25' after nine years of usage, and I bake, it broke. I contacted the maker, and they replaced it. No hassle, all I did was share my Amazon Invoice number. I have used other thermometers over the years, and they all make me appreciate the speed of the Javelin more. Awesome product and awesome company!
