Excellent Dash Cam – Clear Footage and Easy to Use
This dash cam exceeded my expectations. The video quality is sharp both during the day and at night, and the wide-angle lens captures a lot of detail. Setup was straightforward — just mount it, plug it in, and you’re ready to go. The loop recording and G-sensor features give me peace of mind in case of any incidents. It’s compact and doesn’t block my view while driving. A great value for the price – definitely recommend!

This dashcam is next level
I already have the OnDash 4X so when the X4S Duo became available I jumped at the chance and I’m glad to say that it doesn’t disappoint. It comes with everything you need (except for the micro SD card) to get up and running. Vantrue recommend using their own brand of micro SD card so that’s what I went with and I’ve not had any problems. I can also confirm that the dashcam will work with a 512GB micro SD card which should be plenty enough for both cameras. Like the X4, the menus are easy to navigate and the one on the X4S Duo has been improved which takes it to the next level. There are various combinations of resolutions you can set for both cameras all at 30fps. I went for 4K for the front camera and 1080P for the rear camera. The layout of the buttons is pretty much the same as the X4 so there should be no problems. Like the X4, it does seamless loop recording (handy for joining clips together when editing), has a supercapacitor, a 3” screen, wi-fi, parking mode (the camera needs to be hardwired for this feature) and GPS is supported but the GPS mount would need to be purchased separately. The one thing that sets this apart from the X4 is the rear mounted camera. The 20ft USB-C cable that comes with the dashcam should be plenty long enough for just about every car. I own a 2003 Volvo XC90 and the cable was more than enough. The video quality on the front camera is on the next level in 4K. It is definitely better than the X4. The rear camera was not quite as good in 1080P but vehicle number plates were still readable. The audio was absolutely fine and definitely an improvement on the X4. The front and rear cameras record simultaneously so there is no problem with synchronizing front and rear footage when editing the video. One thing to note is that the video is recorded using the newer H.265 codec so bear this in mind if you want to play the video files on your Windows PC/Laptop. Also, if you want to edit the video files make sure your editing software will support the H.265 codec. I used Adobe Premiere Elements 2019 to edit video and I will have to upgrade as it doesn’t support the newer codec.I tried to connect the dashcam to my phone via the wi-fi function but I was having difficulties with the app. It is not something I would normally use as I remove the micro SD card form the dashcam and put it into a card reader on my desktop PC if I want to access the video files.Would I recommend it? Absolutely! This is my 3rd Vantrue dashcam and it does not disappoint. The price may be a bit hard to swallow but this is basically a flagship model and I reckon it would give the mainstream manufacturers a good run for their money.

Worth Every Penny
I have tried several dash cams in the past but all but one were returned for refunds. The one I did keep by Auto-Vox was acceptable but still had issues with number plate legibility and ease of use. The N4 Pro though is by far the best I have tried and really does warrant the old cliché "game-changer".What I most want from a dash cam is, in the event of an incident, to be able to read registration plates front and rear. This one does it. With its SONY STARVIS 2 True 4K resolution, I can easily read license plates day or night. Plus, the 4K HDR technology helps balance lighting for the best night shots. Then there is the GPS, the parking monitor and well you know the rest. All work very well. Connecting to a mobile telephone to download and view video is straightforward. Installation is simple and I used the Vantrue hard wire kit without problems. Are there any negatives? I do wish the voice command set was more extensive. You cannot command the front display camera view selection for example, it having to be changed by button press only. I also wish the font size for the speed reading was much larger - I cannot read it at all and it would be useful to me in mph since I often drive in the UK with a car that has a km/hr calibrated speedometer. The font size should be user selectable. So there are some design oversights but none that matter too much.Overall the N4 Pro is a fabulous piece of kit.

Great Product
The Dashcam is really good, the video and pictures quality is brilliant.Only issue is the set up instructions and the long wires.I had to use YouTube to set up the dash-cam and I didn’t hard wire it as it was too much hard work😃I wish wire clips were included or the rear camera was Bluetooth enabled or wireless.I had these long wires dangling everywhere so I only use the front camera which also records, the front of the car, inside the car and the rear of the car.The rear view recording with the front dash-cam is the similar to looking into your rear view mirror.I had issues with recording after 1 week and replace the SD card. You need a card reader to view the recordings if you don’t want view them in your car.To view the recordings in the car, you need to download the app and also have to be close enough to the camera or the WiFi won’t work.So far so good!
