This lamp is very good, provides bright light

This light is great - sturdy and bright.

Perfect. Exactly what I expected and more.

I wanted to give it five stars—I really did, but it was a pain to put together. I purchased one, and I loved it! So I bought the second one. The inner cords are not the same. One was long and coiled, and the other had a shorter coil and was shorter overall. They were difficult to thread through the tubes and then attach to the base. But once you finally wrestle everything into place—boom! These lights are fantastic. The solid base, adjustable brightness, color, height, and functional gooseneck make this a great product. I bought 2!

Do not buy this. I saw in some other reviews that the cord was flimsy and attached in a way it could get damaged easily and thought it can't be that flimsy and who is stomping around their lamps often? Well two days into having it I needed to get to the outlet to plug something else in and the cord got loosely tangled on my foot. I go to step away and it pulls the cord and breaks the plugin. It can't be understated how tiny the plugin for this lamp is. It may be the smallest piece of metal imaginable, any force at all and it's snapped.For example, the picture is the cord next to a regular pen. The cord just has the guts left on it because when I pulled it out, it left the base of the plug still in the lamp. If you look at it closely you can see the remains of the exterior/base, whatever you want to call it, which is only as wide as the pens mouth. This is an unacceptable flaw in a $100 lamp. Either hard wire it, or make a small compartment for this flimsy piece of trash to fit into at the base so that it is supported and hidden/covered. The reason they didn't can only be explained by cheaper manufacturing costs of the base compartment.If you want to buy this lamp just be aware that the company is too cheap to provide even the slightest amount of protection for something so fragile. Truly idiotic design and idiotic execution.

The media could not be loaded. Nice looking, sturdy and easy to assemble. As pictured it stands 47 inches from floor to the top of the white pole. The goose snapped light as I have it set is 56 inches off the floor and as you can see it illuminates my 40 inch art desk fully. As the video illustrates, the three sunlight settings are very nice and it's nice to have the soft light setting. Also easy to change between light settings. Just press the button.

I use this lamp every morning as part of my morning routine. Living in the north east with our long winters and lack of sunlight I commonly feel seasonal depression, so I wanted to give this a shot to see if it could boost my energy and mood. I do notice that I feel more energized when I use this lamp. It definitely gets a very bright, but you can lower the settings and change the hues to your preference. When I first tried to assemble the lamp, I did have some difficulty, but if you keep the two poles with one inside the other and feed the wire through, you can connect it to the base and slide both poles in the correct position. It just took some trial and error to figure it out. Definitely recommend you buy one!

I received this Duo lamp a few days ago and am pleased with it overall, but there are a few issues, which I was aware of before ordering, based on other reviews.1) It is true that screwing on the base is a bit tricky, need to lay it down on the floor or a work table, which makes it awkward to hold in place while tightening the screw into the bottom of the base and easy to knock the pole out enough to prevent full tightening while doing so by myself. Just a poor design choice by Verilux, really, probably in the interest of keeping costs low. I would happily pay a few more dollars for a better design and parts.2) Upon starting to use the lamp, I decided to reposition it a bit, but when I picked it up to move it across the room, the previously tightened connection between the bottom pole and the base came loose. I had to re-do loosening and tightening the screw. Silver lining was that I realized that by taking the screw completely out, I could get the pole deeper into the base.I’m still worried that the pole will come loose again as it doesn’t stay as tight as it needs to after adjusting the flexible portion (which was purportedly designed for frequent adjustment for different tasks) and I have 3 large dogs who could definitely knock it completely loose with just their tails. I also wouldn’t recommend using this floor lamp around children or the elderly for this reason. Nobody needs a knock on the head or to trip over a floor lamp that came apart.I will be keeping the light in a corner with the base blocked by a desk in order to avoid that scenario. May have to resort to some white duct tape, lol, but I am still happy with the lamp since my doctor suggested light therapy and I only have room in my office for one lamp that can also serve as a task lamp.Just be careful that your needs won’t be affected by the base design shortcomings.
