I’ve been using Evan Alexander products for over 5 years. Discovered the product line on the Gram. Very happy it’s available on Amazon. All natural, smells great, beard loves it.

My husband used it for the first time and he liked it. Definitely has a "woodsy" smell but not overwhelming. The shampoo is black in color I'm guessing from the activated charcoal. A little goes a long way thankfully because it is kind of a small bottle.

This shampoo is designed specifically for beards, and it does a great job of removing dirt, oil, and other impurities without leaving your beard dried out. In particular, I like how it is activated charcoal based and does a great job of removing odors without just covering them up in perfume. My wife said my beard smelled like nothing at all, which was perfect for her (my toddler said it smelled like a deer. I don't know where they come up with this stuff.).It says to use a generous amount, but I found that even a small amount lathers extremely well and does the job. I have used many, MANY, beard products. All making varying claims about what they'll do to your beard. Most of them don't do much besides give your beard a scent. This shampoo on the other hand is different. It actually made my beard softer. I have been using twice a week as recommended and I really have noticed a difference in the texture of my beard. A little goes a long way so while this product is somewhat pricey, it should last even fairly large beards quite awhile. Remember, this is not intended to be a daily use product. As a vine reviewer, I get a lot of products to try and very few of them will I actually go back and buy with my own money. This is a rare one that I will and this says a lot!

This is a great stripping beard wash. I start with a nickel size amount for the first wash and there's not much lather as it strips all the balms, oils and dirt. Then a dime size amount for the follow up and it turns into a lather explosion as it completely cleans my beard. I like the cleaning effect of the charcoal and the scent is pleasant. This is a wash that I will use about once a week in the cooler season and twice or more a week in the hot summer. I would recommend a follow up with conditioner or an oil/butter directly out of the shower to seal and hydrate the hair. Overall, this is an impressive powerful stripping beard wash that will stay in my routine for the foreseeable future. Great product.

Thus bottle works great for beards or scalp! The activated charcoal works to clean really well and removes dandruff. Leaves behind a cleaner and fresh smelling hair. Husband approved!
