Q: how is it supposed to be mounted in your car and where do you recomend so a person can find it a year from now ? ?

Mine didn’t say to mount it anywhere in the car and I don’t believe you can mount it. The packaging recommends to keep it in center console or the glove box for easy reaching/access. I keep mine in the pocket thing of my door since I’d be able reach that easiest. You’d want to be able to reach it easily in an accident.
