I bought the elongated version to replace a cushioned seat that no longer felt soft. I have had this true cushion about two weeks; and, so far, it is great. Installation was easy and took less than a minute. The suction cups adhere very well to conventional hard seat. Removal for cleaning or whatever else is also very easy. A small "putty knife" is enclosed to assist with the suction cups. It is not really needed, as the cups have a small projection that can be used for suction cup release. It is good to have it just in case.There are two things about the cushion to be aware of if you are considering a purchase. First, with the cushion mounted on the seat, the commode cover cannot be lowered, nor can the seat be raised. The second thing generally refers to the men. Because the lid cannot be raised, you need to take good aim when you urinate. The target area is no longer the entire bowl, so be careful. If there are women in the house, all the more reason not to leave the seat wet! At first, I found these things annoying; however, when I weighed that against the comfort of the cushion, the cushion was the winner. Besides, if there is a need to raise or lower seat or cover, it only takes a moment to remove the cushion.So far, I am loving it, but should the comfort diminishes too soon, I'll update.

This toilet seat cushion brought me much needed comfort after my surgery. The suction cups didn’t “stick” but that may be because the toilet seat is wooden. I could still use it without the suction cups. This was a timely buy for me as it came the next day after I ordered it.

They sure don't make it that well anymore.Only way to fix it would be with foam rubber, instead of foam. That would still be cushiony but wouldn't completely collapse when you sit down.This one only has ¼ inch padding between me and the toilet seat when I sat on it on Day 1. I haven't gained weight, I'm only 5'1". I even use a foot stool to keep my feet from dragging on my bad legs!DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.Update: 2nd one died after 45 days! Either cheaper foam or old foam. Disappointed!After 1½ years the foam padding died, and I needed to buy a new one. So happy with this product I didn't even look at other items, just ordered another one.The 2 inch padding works great at preventing most of my leg pain. Has SOFT comfortable vinyl cover that won't crack easily. It's way better than the expensive but cheaply made ½ inch padded toilet seats you can buy, with the hard vinyl that cracks within weeks and barely pads the seat.I was having to buy new padded toilet seats every 2 months. I would tape up the cracks at first, but the sticky edges of the white vent tape was definitely not a sanitary idea on a toilet. And it gets expensive at $30+ every time.Only problem I have with the pad is that because it's 2 inches thick, the toilet seat lid doesn't go down. That's a twofold problem. 1. When you flush everything sprays (invisible) at least 4 feet. Do an internet search, you will no longer leave tooth brushes or anything out when you flush. 2. Looks gross without a lid. Embarrassing if I have company.I halfway solved this by taking the lid from my vinyl cracked padded toilet seat. I use it to cover the toilet when I flush and when it's not in use. Since I have a "self closing toilet lid" it's curved to the inside. Surprisingly the old padded lid fits perfectly inside the lid. So when I lean back, I am leaning on the padded part of the old lid. The hard top of the old lid sits inside my toilet seat lid.But it still LOOKS funky.Really wish the pad came with a simple thin plastic cover for when not in use, and while flushing. It would LOOK and BE more sanitary with a simple thin plastic removable lid that covered the entire 2 inch pad that reaches all the way to the toilet.

I bought the 2 inch foam and I really liked it for the first month, but then it started to break down really fast and did not provide hardly any cushion support at all. And I am not a heavy person at 140 lb. I am now ordering the 4 inch to see if that holds up a little bit better. I would recommend the white. It’s easier to see if it needs to be cleaned. I found it cleaned up very easily and mine has not cracked so far. The suction cups do not have a lot of suction, but that’s OK because I don’t move around a lot, And I found I don’t need the tool to take this off and on, you can just reach underneath and flip the little tabs on the suction cups, and they come right off. If I have company or I don’t want this on, I can take it off and on very easily. I also chose this model because everything it sits on top of the toilet ring versus other models that have straps that go under the ring which could be exposed to bacteria or splashing.

This toilet seat cushion was even better than I expected. It uses suction cups instead of Velcro ties so it will be a lot less messy in the future with removing it for cleaning purposes. Just remember to thoroughly clean the toilet seat surface before slightly moistening the suction cups and then placing it on the seat.

This product is not for the longer use. It does not last The zipper breaks easily after 3 months and the warranty is only 60 days. The leather part and cushion are good. The problem is that the zipper is made of nylon and does not last to the tension of sitting on the cushion. It should be replaced by a stronger/bigger nylon or a bigger metal zipper. I have purchased 3 of these and all ended up with the same problem.

Cushion adheres well to the seat. It's very comfortable for an ill family member who doesn't have much body fat.I bought one for both toilets I have.
