Safe and bright.
I bought these to replace the dim bulb fixtures in the engine room of my boat. The old lights were so dim and actually a safety concern. These fixtures though, put out some light. I like that they are ignition protected. They are a little pricey compared to others, but I think they were well worth it.

I thought I was buying 2 feet lights not 13inches
It was just to small , my order said 2 feet in length light not 13 inches they send me . It was horrible. I was buying lights for a boat over 100 ft. How dear you send me dolly house lights

Very Bright!
These lights are very bright and work well. I am replacing engine room dome lights with these. The only issue is that the back is basically flush and any butt splice connections must be pushed into the hole to the ship's wiring. I am building 3/4 inch standoffs from wood with a hole large enough to contain the wiring splices. The old dome lights didn't have this issue as the rear of the light formed a cavity to hide wiring when mounted to the ceiling.

They do an excellent job, but they are pricey
I have six of these in my engine room. They do an excellent job, but they are pricey.

Waste of time
I spent an hour and a half wiring this up, heat shrink etc. It worked for about a hour then pooched
