Well worth the extra effort.
These electrical connectors worked out perfect. They take a bit more effort to put in place but it looks like they belong there rather than regular connectors. They are not that small but they are also not very big so depending on your application or intended use this may or may not work out but for my use it worked perfectly.

Had to figure out which way to insert the pins so they lock in, but that was not hard. Overall very happy with the connectors.
