I don’t know what they put in this stuff, but it is the best toilet chemical deodorizer I have ever used. We have had an RV for over 20 years now, and have tried everything. I kept hearing about this, but held off because of the cost. We had a situation come up where we couldn’t dump our black tank for 2 weeks. This happened a year ago as well, and we used the chemicals from the big box store back then. We added twice the amount called for to keep odors down, and the odors were soooooo bad after two weeks! It took us at least a month to finally get the odors out. So, when this same situation came up, we were desperate, and decided to buy this. We used overnight shipping so we could get the chemicals in there fast. After two weeks, I entered my camper’s bathroom, expecting to smell at least a little odor. Nope! I shook my head in disbelief as I opened the toilet seat, expecting to faint because of the odor. Not one odor vapor was to be found! Zero stench! Zero!In conclusion, this stuff is pricey, but ohhhhhh so worth it if you find you can’t dump your tank for a few weeks. I am totally sold!

Amazing product! I live full time in a fifth wheel camper and was previously using Bio-Pak tabs for black tank treatment; they worked decently, but this powder? Whole other level. I dump the black tank once weekly on Sunday, prefill the freshly emptied tank with about 4 gallons of water and one Happy Campers treatment before resuming regular use, and have no odor come back up through the toilet until Friday or Saturday. The odor that does come up is still much less offensive than when I was using Bio-Pak. Even dumping the tank is less smelly and faster, as it breaks down everything very efficiently. Happy Campers may seem more expensive than brands upfront, but per treatment it's only about 10 to 15 cents more (on average) than less effective competitors - WELL worth it! If you want true odor elimination, a faster dump time, and a cleaner black tank, Happy Campers is the product you want.

Initially i bought happy campers treatment to be used for my thetford porta potti 365. i only use the porta potti for no. 1 and only needed to be emptied around once a week.previously i use walex porta pak so i tried switching to happy campers treatment because everybody was singing praises about this product but unfortunately for me, happy campers treatment is unable to cover the odor because i could always smell urine whenever i use the porta potti and by the end of the week where i empty the waste tank, it reeks horribly :(i am not sure if my dosage is not enough or is it because the previous usage of walex porta pak has some residues remain that lower the effectiveness of happy campers but the waste tank smell horrible at the end of the week when i empty it. i tried cleaning the tank and give another shot but the smell is still bad and emptying it at the end of the week is horrible. after reading that happy campers treatment requires oxygen and does not do well in airtight environment like a porta potti, i guess i will stick back to walex porta pak for my waste tank.so i started using happy campers treatment for my grey tank instead and to my surprise, it works amazingly well! usually my grey tank will smell bad at the end of the week but ever since using happy campers treatment, the grey tank has no smell at all. it's a miracle and emptying my grey tank is a breeze now.
