Holley 750 Cfm Aluminum Street Hp Mech Sec

Put it on a '69 Chevelle 383 runs great recommend

Bought this choke-less 750 for a 396 BPrint crate engine - my late 70's, 2nd gen camaro has limited hood clearance and I didn't like the huge chokehorn on the supplied carb hurting flow in my proform drop base air cleaner. The choke-less main body looks like it is made for these smooth, drop air cleaners.So - these carbs are just beautiful to look at and the lightweight aluminum is great. The carb is billed as ready to go for semi-hot street/strip engines. This engine is decently cammed and pulls 9+ vacuum at idle. With adjusting float level and air/fuel and idle - that is it. Idle, off-idle, wot - all are pretty damn good so far. Only been a week or two - but very happy so far..

Only reason for the 1 star is because I was sentA used carb NOT NEW when I opened the box itSmelled of fuel & when I opened up the butterfly’s it shot out fuel. I called Holly they said there should be no smell at all & that they test them with mineral spirits not fuel. My fault for not buying from reputable/ known company.Sent it back and was charged a crazy restock fee!!Went straight to Summit & ordered another oneAnd what do you know, No smell of fuel at all.Lesson learned.

Everything I was looking for and is a quality product.

Installed brand new Holley only for it to fail 4 months later. Float is constantly sticking closed and not allowing fuel through...gas tank is brand new and clean. Have read of Holleys build quality not 100% and cast shavings in the bowl. Called Holley and was told out of warranty....90 days for a carb?...and I am on my own and should re-build it....yeah, re-build a brand new carb. Not happy and probably will stay away from Holley products in the future.....

750 double pumper fresh out of the box, wont run without surging at 35 mph, cuts out above 4,000 RPM, such a disappointment, only 20 miles of driving…….
