Installation Tips For These Awesome Jeep Headlights
First of all, these are the badass headlights that you have seen on other Jeeps and want on yours. And the price is right. And the quality is there. Installation isn't too bad.I'm going to leave a few installation notes that might be helpful for others:- I installed on a 2010 Wrangler Rubicon- The winch prevented the grille from coming off, so I had to work around it, which was possible- When you take off the old headlights, pay close attention to how the clasp works. They don't just push in and click. You have to slide a bar back to lock them in place- The headlights came pre-assembled with the anti-flicker box to make it plug and play. But it's a lot of hardware. You can fit it all behind the headlight if you play Tetris with it- The halos are the coolest part. If you want them to be like daytime running lights (like everyone does, duh!) then follow these instructions. To make them work, there is a third piece- the connector (total in package- 2 headlights, one connector). This connector has 2 wires on one side, and each goes to a headlight and clips in easily. The other side has a single wire that splits into 2. The black wire goes to the negative terminal of the battery (or anything metal to ground it). The red wire goes inside the fuse box (only part of the installation that feels technical). Inside the fuse box there is a large silver fuse (shown). You take out that fuse, and then connect the metal of the wire to one of the blades of the fuse. You can strip the wire and wrap it around, or what I did is since it had a metal ring on it I cut that ring in half and jammed it down next the blade as I pushed the two in together. So the fuse goes back in the normal way, with the metal from the wire somehow hugged up against the blade inside of the sheath.- Zip tie everything. Carefully weave the lines through the Jeep and try to zip tie to existing electrical harnesses. Avoid anything that could get hot- Test the lights when you have them in. Plugging them in should be enough to see them turn on. When you get the red wire into the fuse box you can test the halos which should turn on as soon as the key gets turned one click. It comes with a remote which controls the colors and can make a light show if you want. On my black Jeep I just like the standard white halos, but brightness and color (and light show) can be adjusted. The remote takes two AAA batteries, not included. There is an app you can use too but I haven't tried it.I am honestly more excited about driving this Jeep around now that it has these headlights. With daytime running lights it is also safer. I hope this review helps someone on the installation, please indicate it is helpful if so.

easy install and much safer for night driving.
I ordered these for a 2013 JK after reading numerous reviews. Install is easy, remove the grill and then unscrew your old headlight bezels and unplug the old headlamps. These are plug and play with no flickering at all. To use the halo feature you have two options, run an additional cable to either an accessory fuse in the fusebox, (which means they will always be on when the car is running) or you can splice into the parking lamp wire so your halos come on when the parking lights are on.I spliced into the parking lights using an easy-splice weatherproof connector from a local parts store. On a 2013 JK, when you unplug the stock parking lamp harness, you will see three wires in a row. The middle wire is the running/parking lamp wire that you want to splice into. Cut this wire and install your easy splice (youtube this, it is super easy and simple). You only need to do this on one side as the headlights come with a cord that connects between the two. Once this is completed, just find a place to connect the other ground wire for the headlight. This can be any solid location in the engine bay. I sanded off paint from a bolt, and bolted the ground wire below this for a clean connection. These lights work great.I am a mechanical novice and had this install done in less than an hour. Check out online videos before you attempt this so you know what exactly you are doing and it will be much easier. Using the stock headlight aiming, I have not had any problems. No other vehicles have flashed their lights at me at night but in the case that this happens, you can adjust the aim using a screw on each side. These lights are wonderful. The app worked on the first try and the color patterns seem endless. I estimate that the headlights are roughly 8-10 times more bright than stock and they put out way more light. They are perfect for the country deer filled roads of my area. Honestly these lights are so bright than I canceled my idea of adding additional LED cubes on my jeep.

These headlights will flash and turn off
DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS!!!!!!! first off the harness does not just plug in to my jeep harness it didnt go deep enough, when i turned the lights on i was a little unhappy on the performance of the lights. the low beams yes they were bright, so much nicer then the crappy stock jeep light i was used to , but then when you hit the brights no difference the light just casted out further not brighter. the lights are more lights spots lights. my driver side light is a different color than my passenger light and that is annoying, the passenger light is much more duller. within 1-2 weeks i saw a flash and was no way , then it didnt happen for a few more day then every time i drove it started getting worse and worse now the driver side headlight completely turns off and with in ten minutes will turn on, then off . always fun to get pulled over because your headlights are flashing a dam cop. this is my first review. and i am sorry i didnt listen when i read the other review. lesson learned will be returning these and upgrading.1/25/19 update : doing a Jeep engine swap and came across a fricken mess with these halos. I can NOT stress enough DO NOT BUY these lights. Not only did it melt ThEIR fuse box but it melted their wire plus some of my other accessory wires . I’m currently dealing with warrantec because I will not put the POS back in my Jeep screw this
