LOUD! Inexpensive, works.
Wow, it is definitely loud. If anyone's worried about how loud it is I can put your mind at ease. It is LOUD. It's simple and does what it's supposed to and is very inexpensive. I tested it by shutting off the breaker and it went off immediately. Only time will tell about the reliability, but there are no moving parts, and I don't intend to move it to a different location, so if it's working now I don't know what would make it stop working. I believe some people complained about lack of instructions but couldn't be any simpler, the one part of it slides out where you put in a 9-volt battery. Inside you'll see a plus and a minus..The only confusion may be that some folks didn't know it used a 9-volt battery, but I noticed from other reviews that it did so I was ready and had no issues.

It's Junk!
This came with no instructions what so ever, size AAA batteries are too small and AA batteries are too big! There is no way I would ever even suggest this to anyone to purchase. It's a big waste of money!I won't give it even a "1 star" on the noise (doesn't even work when you plug it in....hence no directions if you need the batteries installed along with plugging it in or what) and the Value for money......IT'S JUNK!!Did not want to give an Overall Rating from me either but it wouldn't let me submit my review!

PERFECT FOR A GARAGE OR BASEMENT. IT’S LOUD ENOUGH.
Works Great! Received this alarm on September 25, 2020. For my chest freezer in my garage. I needed an alarm loud enough to hear through the two doors between the garage and rest of my house. It has the perfect volume. Now, it is loud if you’re standing next to it. But, if you need an alarm to hear from a garage or basement, then I recommend this one. Uses a rectangular 9 volt battery. See photo with my review. It DOES NOT use AA or AAA batteries. If it fails in the near future, I will update this review. Otherwise, it is still properly working.

Loud, continuous power loss alarm WILL get you up from sleep
I have two of these as a 115/120VAC power loss alarm when an oxygen concentrator is used in the next apartment. I watch over my COPD next door neighbor. They have their own 'no flow' alarms (more than lost power) but they are not loud enough to wake one up if power is lost in the night and the concentrator is in the next room with the door closed, a more pleasant way to sleep. Power is likely to be lost in my apartment as well so it gets me up (boy, does it!) to do something about it quickly. This is just layer one of a multi-layer alert system for me. If what you are protecting is important, buy several or have other alarms as well. It;s good for the price (good value), not great performance. What it does well* VERY loud, contiuous, screeching sound less than one second after power is lost. Did not test for brown outs but suspect it will not alarm. I put tape over the annunciator port to drop sound level a bit.Design Problems* For the price point, it has no problems. It is just a few dollars so don't expect advanced operation. There are other monitors for that.* It has a cord to plug in to whatever socket it is shipped for (a clever one size fits all design) but that means it goes where? Laying on the floor? If you hide it, you will need to get to it to switch off the alarm to be able to talk to anyone when the power goes out.* How do you know the battery is exhausted? I don't think any way so you will discover that if you test regularly or put a repeating reminder in your cel phone. If the power drops while you are away, you will come home to a dead battery and silence once it exhausts the battery. It doesn't time out or recharge the battery. Please note it takes rather expensive 9V cell...not included!

It works! Saved my freezer food!
Super loud upon testing. I had it set up for more than three weeks and sure enough, the alarm when off after some contractors pressure washing my house caused the garage sockets to trip. I got this because twice I have driven into my garage with evidence of ice melting in my deep freezer. After the second time, I had to throw everything out. It works! And it’s loud! I could hear it from my bedroom. At first I wandered what the loud noise was, but then I remembered I set up the alarm for power to the freezer. Worth the price.

Best product for appliance in power outages.
Product works great and is real loud. I could hear it from basement on 2nd floor during a test. When the power goes out on the outlet a loud siren goes off to let you know. It has saved me money in long run as my freezer powers down due to power surges where I live. Now I don't have to through out food anymore. Just make sure you put a 9 volt battery in it plug it in and then flip the black switch and you good to go.

Not loud, and fairly cheaply made
I bought this because my deep freezer has lost power twice without us noticing until its too late. It stated 120db, which is great as the freezer is in the basement. However, if it is even 60db I would be surprised as I can have a conversation next to it as its going off. (85db would be a loud motorcycle and hard to talk over). It was inexpensive, the build quality reflects this. I wouldnt care if it worked as advertised. At this price point, its not worth messing with returns, exchanges, etc. Ill try it out and hope for the best.

Item did not work for me but seller refunded money
Review edited to add - At first the seller approved my refund but I had to pay to ship it back. For a $12 defective item I’m not paying to send it back. After 9 emails back and forth, the seller finally agreed that I didn’t need to return the item. It was more hassle than it should have been but at least I got my money back.Product review:After waiting about 2 months to receive this we tested it. Out of 15+ tests it worked only twice. When it worked the sound was moderately loud, but probably not loud enough to hear from our basement to the main level. However, the majority of the time it was either no sound (with an occasional red flash) or the tiniest whisper of a sound. This is not reliable and I would not purchase.
