UPG 12V 4.5Ah/5.0ah Home Alarm Security System SLA Battery

Very affordable battery and works perfectly in my alarm system. I was told by the last guy that serviced my alarm that I should expect to have to get a new one at some point (it still had the original from 2008) and he suggested I should just order it myself when the time came because alarm companies want too much money for it. I made sure to get the right sized terminals (F1) and it fit perfectly. I got mine from Beiter, and it came within days of ordering it. It took about 2 days to charge once I plugged it into my alarm system but at least it wasn't make an annoying low battery noise during that time. I had to arm and unarm my alarm several times for the Battery notice to shut off. It works great and the price can't be beat.

I bought one of these after getting daily alarm box low battery alarms. I immediately tested the battery. While my old battery seemed to hold a good enough charge, I felt after 3-4 years, it was probably time to replace the battery. Shipping was very fast (3 days). Once I connected it, the low battery beeps disappeared. I'm very happy with the purchase.Im not an electrician. If you replace yours, make sure you match the listed voltage with the listed amperage on your battery. I bought one with an amperage rating a little higher than mine, which I assumed would power my system longer in the event of a power failure. All in all, I haven't had any problem with this battery after several months.

I received the exact product pictured, battery by UltaTech 12V 4.5AH, shipped and sold by JMAC Supply. Item was packaged well, in bubble wrap and surrounded by packing peanuts. I hooked up the battery and plugged in my new transformer, and the battery light did NOT come on showing the battery was low or dead. After allowing the battery sufficient time to charge, I unplugged the transformer and let the battery hold its own overnight. Battery was still very good in the morning, so I plugged the transformer back up. Very Pleased....

The item took 9 days from ordering (on a Tues) to receive. I also ordered the battery thinking it was an UltraTech 4.5ah battery (as the photo showed), and it arrived as a universal battery 5ah. I could have gotten the universal battery brand cheaper elsewhere, and would NOT have ordered and paid what I did for a universal brand battery. Hope it lasts 5 years like the last one.

My security system needs a battery for backup and won't run without one. This is not the kind of battery that they have at most stores. This one has been excellent for me and has lasted over three years and is still going strong. The last one lasted seven years.

Bought this battery online for the first time. Prodict arrived quickly, was as descibed in the text. Very easy to install. Fully charged when received. It's been one month and no issues at all. Time will tell how long it will last. I'm hopefull, and will likely buy again when I need another battery.

not sure how long it will last but I do know that I am using them for my battery back ups for my computers and T.V's and so far so go. Last storm allowed me to turn everything off normally and when the system over blew it did a fine job as well with the warning and shutting down process!

Works great for my home security system. It replaces a battery I installed 11/2008 which lasted just shy of 4 years. Never pay more than $16 for a battery like this (including shipping) - the bargain brands work just as well as the SLA batteries that cost 3-5 times more.
