Great brush!
I was skeptical at first, a big badger hair brush for $13.99, but this brand has made me a believer that you don’t need to spend a lot to get a lot. It arrived with a slight odor (badger’s are wild animals) but once I seasoned it, it began to smell like Proraso green cream soap. You have to season a natural badger brush so that it does not continuously shed the hair. YouTube is your best friend for that. Also, websites like West Coast Shaving, and Italian Barber have their own videos. Following the instructions on YouTube it only lost 7 or 8 hairs total, which is amazing because most people report losing that much every time; hence the need to season them. This is what they call a pure badger brush. To my knowledge, the 4 different types in order of quality and price are black, pure, best, and silvertip badger brushes. The only true difference's between them are cosmetic and feel. The silvertip’s being the softest and prettiest, and most expensive. Personally, I prefer a slight abrasiveness as it helps with exfoliation of the dead skin cells, also, the hairs shall soften with use. As you can see in the photos it’s a fairly big brush. My ring finger is a size 14.5 and my middle finger is a 15. It turns soap into large amounts of lather fairly quickly (with proper form/good soap) and takes up most of my face when it splays out. Long story long, even at $17.99 it’s a great buy. The bulb seems to be 26mm at the base, with a 60mm loft. The only thing that might matter to some, is that the B from the logo arrived partially rubbed off. Pure cosmetics, and I personally don’t mind. Great brush!P. S. You’re going to need a brush stand to dry it out properly. Cheers!

3 Month Review. Excellent
I was new to wet shaving so doing lots of research. My needs were 24mm knot, affordable, resin handle and natural badger brush. I wanted to buy one and that is it for Life. I ordered the white handle, when it arrived the gold lettering was smudged partly, I was bummed about that but decided to keep it. I've had it for 3 months and its super. In the beginning I would see 1 or two hairs fall out but that has stopped off. I see the price now is in the $17 range I paid $20, so its really in bargain range. I don't want to be one of those collectors of a million brushes, just want one that works. I use this with the Proraso saddle wood shaving cream and a Gillette adjustable slim which I will use forever too with the Fatboy sitting in the background as my only collection piece. I always let it sit in a cup of warm water before the shave while I shower. So after I clean this in warm water it gets squeezed of excess water and shaken a bit. Then it goes to the shaving brush stand to dry upside down. Longevity tips; You can't be storing this upside down because water will just seep into the glue that keeps it in the handle. That is the other reason I stay away from wood handles, resin is impermeable around water. The 24mm makes it plenty full and the feel on your face is both soft and prickly, love it. One of the few times that I'm just absolutely satisfied 100% because I always look for the ultimate bang for your buck products without compromising quality. One last tip for beginners; Forget all the talk of beginning shavers and brushes. Its silly, that is why I picked up the Gillette slim, its proved itself for decades with millions of men. The badger hair, withstood the test of time and gives you the timeless feeling that wet shaving brings. All these things you buy once and maybe twice in your lifetime if its quality. No need to cut your face for years to move up to proven shavers and proven brushes.

Buy This Brush!
The first thing I am going to say is that it is NORMAL for a brush to stink and NORMAL for it to shed. Period. The shedding is just a new product being used. People complain about hairs on their face but never the amount they get in their soaps. It happens. And the honest truth is that smelly hair is actually a sign of high quality. It means there weren't many production steps between animal and brush. That being said, I broke in this brush for a week before I used it and this review was written after a week of use, so two weeks. Break in your brush, the smell WILL fade. Just don't do anything you wouldn't do to your own hair. Now, on to this particular brush. This brush is very large (comparison photo). The only measurement not given is the diameter of the top of the loft, which is just around 3". I bought this brush because I had never heard of the company and I found it too good to be true that a large genuine badger brush would be this cheap. I assumed it would disintegrate or something. Well, this is now my favorite badger brush. It is literally a huge brush that is great quality, cheap as hell and for some reason not well known. I use this brush with my Cella soap. It's diameter fits the diameter of the bowl perfectly. And as you can see, it certainly lathers, it just needs some patience and tlc. It is very soft. The only thing I will say again is that this is a big brush, so be aware! This company is on my radar now. And for this price, I promise you are getting a higher quality item than expected. Enjoy and happy shaving!

Sturdy but Poorly Designed
Good product, very sturdy, not easy to bend. Only complaint is the holder ring size, it is made for only the biggest of brushes, at least a 24mm knot, and anything slightly on the small side will fall right through. I own some of each and that is exactly what happened.

Great brush for the price.
Two shaves in, and I like it. Its badger bristles are softer than boar and stiffer than synthetic. Didn't smell badgery at all, right out of the box or when first getting wet. It whips up Proraso cream quickly and applies nicely. I have yet to own a natural shave brush that doesn't shed, and only four hairs have come out of this one.

Everything You Want and Nothing You Don't
The brush has long, soft bristles and are attached to an attractive handle w/ good ergonomics and heft belying its price point. Very happy!
