Works With Hello Google Nest Video Doorbell
As many other people have discovered, the cutting edge technology of the Nest video doorbell will not work unless your house has a Victorian style bell push switch wired in to the mains. Who does? So, after a lot of Googling and forum visits, I purchased this and a Honeywell D117 bell. With a bit of skill, patience and DIY competence (as you are working with mains voltage, even if it's reduced by this transformer) our Google doorbell works perfectly, with no batteries to replace and a bell which rings loudly inside, so you still know someone's at the door even if you don't have your phone on you.

Ideal for Nest Hello doorbell
Used to transform 8V existing wired doorbell to 12v for doorbell. Very easy to install and worked first time.

It works.
I bought it for my Nest doorbell and it works. No humming or buzzing sound. The only one thing I have to say is the picture of the transformer shown is quite misleading, the size of it is much bigger. Hope Amazon will follow it.I have been using it for 2 days, no problems at all.

Perfect for Nest Hello
This was a replacement for a noisy transformer, read the review and it seemed people had better luck with this one when linked to a nest hello door bell, and i can happily confirm it runs completely silent! Does warm a little but thats expected and not a concern. Recommended for this Purpose

Not what I expected - NOT GOOD For RING Doorbells(!!)
Firstly, the picture is extremely misleading - while the image shows a rather flat transformer, the whole unit is almost 10cm in depth.Secondly, I bought this to connect my RING doorbell to my main power so the battery won't need charging.Eventually, they (RING) recommended buying a resistor and a more powerful transformer.

Perfect for the Ring Pro 2
I was looking for a Bell Transformer to power the Ring Pro 2, I also wanted the internal mechanical chime to work. I did a bit of research and bought the below:* Ring Pro 2* PROTEK Bell Transformer 16V* Honeywell D117 Chime - supports up to 16VAC* Pro Power Kit v3 (specifically made for Ring Pro 2) - Part of the Spare Parts kitI then wired it all up and tested the AC current draw. It seems like the Ring Pro 2 uses around 3.5VA when operating in day light and around 4VA in the night with IR lights on, and it jumps to around 8VA-10VA when speaking extremely loudly on the 2 way talk and with the IR lights on. I know Ring Pro 2 requirements say 10VA-40VA but i believe that is for the U.S market where the mechanical doorbells require 10VA.Got it all in for a week now and is working perfectly, the power on the doorbell also shows 17V.

No robots in disguise
I recently bought a Nest camera doorbell and needed a transformer so it would work from the mains supply.Im sure we can all agreed that the way 2020 has gone when I ordered this Transformer I half expected a Decepticon to jump out the box. Thankfully Prime (Amazon not Optimus) delivered just what was ordered. This works just fine with the doorbell and provides the 16v I was after. Its a bit bigger than I thought it would of been but to be fair it’s in line with the specifications detailed.
