Great tool made of superb steel!
I had to purchase this tool to remove the special Pitman Arm on the power steering retrofit box in my '55 F100. The 'hot rod' accessory arm was doubly-welded behind the big end, to the trimmed-down hub of the parent box.It was necessary to trim out the lower jaws of this tool, (great steel, by the way; machined down perfectly!) 1/4" on each inner foot made for a secure fit. The machining was performed on my neighbor's Bridgeport mill. I could not have ordered a 'special size' puller for the job, so it was critical I have a GOOD enough one to make this modification to.Worked excellent, the first time. Now I have a tool that's devoted to my beloved truck, which I'll leave to my daughter in my will. I'll leave her the pitman arm tool, too.

It works for wiper arms
This puller works on 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan wiper arms. There are 2 dimensions showed on the website on this item, QEM27022, 1-5/8" and 1-1/8". The 1-5/8" is really 1-7/8", just like the OEM25297. I have first bought a puller that is for the wiper arm, but it failed to fit my need and had to return it. This tie rod/pitman arm puller did the job easily, and it is very sturdy.

but it's a smaller car and I assumed it would be fine. Luckily the tie rod ends popped right out ...
Just what is pictured. The day after I received it I greased it up and went to use it to separate the tie rod ends from the spindle on my daughter's car, and found that it's just too narrow to fit. Shame on me for not measuring ahead of time, but it's a smaller car and I assumed it would be fine.Luckily the tie rod ends popped right out anyway, so I was able to continue working. I'm sure this will come in handy for some project down the road. Meantime, I think I'll shop for a larger size to go along with it.

2006 Colorado Tie rods/Ball Joints with ease!
Bought product to remove rust-welded outer tie rods in a 2006 Chevy Colorado. Product is very sturdy, and pushed them out with ease. Product was so great i decided to give it a try with upper and lower ball joints, once again product surpassed the test. Would highly recommend to anyone using for this type of work.

This tool is to small for my tie rods. I am not sure what they would work on. Not worth the trouble to return. Purchase with care.

Made in China not Taiwan.
Bought this because it had the same part number as a good quality ‘loan a tool’ from my local parts store. The rental was made in Taiwan but the Amazon tool is made in China and you can tell...
