Best option of the 4 I've tried
I have tried 4 types of vegan jerky. Here are my opinions:Louisville Vegan Jerky - 7/10 - Interesting flavors, some better, some worse, none bad. Softer than actual jerky. Overall pretty good. Soy based. Might buy these again.Primal Spirit Vegan Jerky - 4/10 - Bizarre flavors, some decent, some odd, some absolutely awful, and many do not taste like what they're labeled as. Very odd consistency, stringy yet also very tough, not at all like actual jerky. Wet / "basted" in the packet, soaked in liquid flavoring, sometimes drips out when opened. Hard to compare to actual jerky, more like it's own food type. Overall ... strange. Soy, gluten, mushroom based. Would never buy again.Noble Jerky - 8/10 - Good flavors, actually tasty. Decent consistency, sort of like very soft jerky. Similar to Louisville brand overall. Soy based. Have bought again. Best of the bunch.Beyond Meat - 6/10 - Closest consistency to actual jerky, chewy compared to the others. Flavors are charitably - bland, and uncharitably - not great. While the Primal Spirit brand has the *consistency* of shoe leather and flavors of nothing I've ever tasted before, the Beyond Meat brand has the consistency of actual jerky but at times the *flavor* of shoe leather. I'm betting the pea protein used in these does not help here. NOT soy based. Mung bean and pea protein based. Would not buy again.

Don’t wait order if you once loved beef jerky.
When I turn vegan I had no problem giving up a steak or chicken breast it really didn’t seem appealing anymore. But there are very few things that I missed. One thing was the pepperoni dried meat sticks at the quickie Mart when I pump my gas I know... gross but something about the “pepperoni seasoning“ and chewing the salty texture appealed to me. I’m not a sugar person. I thought I would give this ago and I can honestly say it tastes just like real meat beef jerky. I love the value pack flavors! barbecue is more like a smoked brown sugar bbq. Which I love... no to sugary. The Chipotle is on point as far as a “complete” Chipotle flavor. And Teriyaki is the same. The original starts off with a Asian Sweet like season but as you chew it it changes to a pepper flavor. The original in my opinion has the best after taste. The Consistency of the beef jerky is Chewy and gets stuck in your teeth just like real beef jerky. I am really blown away how good it is and how I can now enjoy beef jerky guilt free without harming a single soul. Minus the plastic bag... it came in but you get a good amount they don’t skimp.

Junk vs jerky
Didn’t taste great but is a good alternative to normal jerky, all flavors just tasted like soy. I didn’t taste much variety. I’d rather taste real jerky over this junk though.

Chew - good, flavor - adequate
Whether you value my review may depend on what you're looking for. I wanted a jerky that could come close to a meat jerky in taste/feel but obviously be vegetarian. The feeling of chewing noble jerky is very similar to a meat jerky, but I can't endorse most of the flavors. From my perspective, the original is way, way too sweet when compared to any other original or old fashioned meat jerky I've eaten. The BBQ tastes pretty good, but the flavoring comes off the jerky on your hands and in your mouth. It was quite wet or gooey. So, it has a good taste, but the flavor separating from the jerky was a little unpleasant. It didn't come across as a marinade, but a somewhat weird coating. The Chipotle was better. There's still some sensation of the flavoring coming off the jerky and being a bit grainy or starchy, but the experience is overall much better. The teriyaki didn't taste like meat teriyaki jerky, but it did taste like teriyaki. Maybe the proximity of the teriyaki flavor base to the soy protein itself highlighted the differences from meat jerky? It tasted fine, but it was the one that was most obviously a vegetarian product.

Best Vegan Jerky So Far
I've tried a lot of vegan jerky and experimented with making my own. This jerky is by far the best I've had.The BBQ was both my and my wife's favorite. It has a great bbq taste with a little kick to it. More subtlety of flavor than the rest. I was surprised to see another review that said it was too sweet because I hate when savory stuff is too sweet but didn't find this to be so.The Original flavor is the worst. We wouldn't buy it again. It has a strange sweet aftertaste and not much going for it.My wife's second choice is chipotle and my second choice is teriyaki. Neither has the complexity of flavor that the bbq has but they are both good. They all have a consistency that is more like regular jerky than others that I have tried. I'm super happy we have found this brand.

Great taste & texture
Vegan jerky - what's not to love??? The flavors on these are bold, yet not overpowering (the teriyaki is my favorite). And the texture is really good. I have had other brands, and the texture ends up being leather like or rubbery. These are just right - a bit hard, wonderfully chewy, and (as mentioned) really tasty.I gave some to a carnivore friend, and they were impressed as well.Would definitely recommend.

Nice try, but flavors are not great.
I'm a big fan of jerky. When I was a carnivorous kid, my dad made homemade venison jerky that was out of this world. And I always bought jerky for road trips. I had high hopes for this.I already love the Louisville Vegan Jerky Co stuff, but the texture is softer than I liked my jerky to be. That's the one thing this jerky does right. It's got a nice toughness and chewiness to it.But where the Louisville jerky feels infused with authentic flavor with every bite, the Noble flavors leap off the "meat" and then fade, turning into a more bean-y/soy-y flavor that continues as an aftertaste. And they are very distinct flavors - which some might appreciate, but I prefer the flavor to meld with the jerky. It's just over-the-top intensity with each variety that tastes like seasoning packets added on top of the "meat", rather than each batch having its own seasoning process. Won't buy again.
