Great quality and fit at a fraction of retail!
I have been checking these chaps out on retailer sites for a while. They are usually $150-200. Given that, I was afraid these would be seconds or something similar. Well, they're not. These are first quality all the way! Another thing, I was worried that the secondary zippers would be uncomfortable or -worse- damage the seat on the Harley. They are placed closer to he side zippers, so no problem there. When ordering, trust the measurements and if you have to choose between your thigh measurement & your waist, use the thigh measurement. Waistbelts can be adjusted, thigh openings cannot.

Nice Leather Chaps
These are nice leather chaps. Order a size up from my pants size & the fit over my jeans well. Extra long length, but will cut off the extra or just roll up the ends. Good price for a good pair of chaps. Canโt wait to wear them on rides with my boyfriend.

Good fit
The measurement chart was dead on. The leather is quality. I'm 5'8 and I had to trim a few inches in the length. The waist and thighs fit perfectly.

Size Chart works for hip/thigh measurements but not for skinny calves.
Belt and thigh fit good. Ordered the 20 since it matched my measurements. A little loose. However, since I'm 5'4" with a 36" inseam, I need to trim about 5" off the ends (2 snaps distance+) and I'm going to have to pay a company to take them up from the knee to the ankle bc they're HUGE. I feel like I'm wearing a pair of JNCOs from the 90s... I also need about an 1" taken up at the front seam by the waist since I have a long-torso. The thigh part falls down too low on me and creates an uncomfortable fit with the waistband.I'm a pear shape and had to go bigger for my hips/thighs. If you have larger calves, these probably work great for you. I don't. I wear a size 6 shoe and have tiny ankles...If the alterations place can't make the adjustment in an affordable range (less than $100), I'm just going to have to return these...For $200 I could get a custom pair.Material and workmanship is great- that's why 3 stars. The fit is not so great.

Sizing is just as stated
I measured everything and then bought the size according to the chart. I love the little braiding detailing and the fact that they are lined! I freeze going into the fall weather, which make the best rides.

Really wanted to LOVER these!
First let me say that the design on the thigh of these chaps is pure GENIUS! That said, when I received these I was super disappointed to find that the rest of the leg went straight down off the thigh. They were extremely baggy around the rest of my leg (thigh down to my boot). This made no sense to me and I figured it must be a fluke so I emailed LeatherUps Customer service to ask if all of their chaps were made this way or if these in fact had just slipped by quality assurance. It took a week but they got back to me saying that I should check the size chart and measure it against my thigh. Um.....did they not read the part about how I LOVED THE FIT IN THE THIGH but was not happy with the bagginess in the lower leg and that I didn't want to reorder if this was how they were ALL MADE. I sent an email back explaining AGAIN that I didn't want to spend a bunch of money shipping returns back and forth if this was standard and again explaining the issue I had with the fit AND that I had reviewed the size chart before ordering. Another week later I received an emailed explaining that these were intended to be worn over jeans (Thanks, I was planning to wear them with my ass hanging out!) and that I should again check the size chart against my measurements. Needless to say, I thanked them for insulting my intelligence and am sadly sending them back. They could really use a lesson in customer service, I've been in customer service for over 20 years and am a business grad. Plus this isn't my first rodeo in chaps. Not once was there any attempt to correctly answer my question. I am very saddened, as I said, I LOVED the thigh on these. Best pair of chaps ever as far as the thigh went for a lady rider. If only I had calves the size of my thighs!
