Q: Is yhe whole saw made of steel/metal handel frame etc

The pin who's holding still the blade is some plastic material.I wouldn't recomand it.Mine broke after few days.

Q: Is it sturdy enough to cut through beef bones?

Mine broke within a week cutting small steel rods . It snapped the blade holder . A very poorly constructed item to be avoided . Or i just got a rogue one who knows !

Q: How easy is it to buy replacement blades, as inevitably one will break at some time?

Standard size blades , readily available in tool shops and hardware stores . Therefore not a problem . Although my hacksaw broke before the blade and thats clearly a bigger problem .

This is the best hacksaw I have owned, it holds the blade tight and square but only takes 300mm long blades not 150mm.
