Pump motor for a Pentsair whisper flow pool pump system
This was pretty much a direct swap out with my previous pool pump motor.easy installation, works as expected, quiet with good pump flow.I go through a pump probably every 3 or 4 years due to keeping my pump going for usually 12 hours a day, 7 days a week! Lots of tree leaves when the wind blows so i like to keep the water moving and having the leaves end up in the skimmer instead of the pool floor. Happy with this one, hopefully I''l get a few years out of it!

Perfect, quiet, and going strong
Just replaced our motor in an older Pentair Challenger Series, for a 16 k gallon gunite running through a Triton 3 filter. It took no actual skill and hardly any time, running like a top. I'd however suggest getting one of the little protective, open side table top Style motor protectors for it if it's in a pretty open area. That was the downfall of my last one; We live in a very rainy area

This saved me a fortune!
After paying the pool company to replace these several times over the last couple years I knew there had to be a better alternative. This is it!!This was a direct replacement for the motor in my Pentair Whisperflo system and runs quieter than any of the other motors that were put in it in the past. It's been running great for 4 months now and I only which I'd found this before paying the repair guy so much money. If you haven't replaced one of these before, it's definitely something that the average pool owner can do. You don't need a professional if you can work a screwdriver and a socket wrench. There are plenty of youtube videos on it as well. The shaft seal can be a little tricky, but that's about it. My motor can preset for 230V which is what I needed, so I simply bolted it on attached the wires, and fired it up.Keep in mind you will also need a pump seal when you replace this which will run you around $30. I also pick up a seal kit from the pool store as well for $15 or so to replace all the other seals while I have it apart. Aside from that, some silicone, a screwdriver, and a socket or crescent wrench is all you need and it should take around an hour.

DONT BUY THIS! Motor and Century both suck
Real plain and simple the motor was a direct replacement to the one that was on there. Same company same motor. Motor was installed and failed after 3 days. Not due to installation but the motor itself. About 8 months ago I thought the motor was going out so I ordered one, never opened the box and found out it wasn’t the motor. So I sent it back.I did the return in the recent one and went to order a new one from the same companySince it seemed it was a manufacturing defect per the pool company. The reason I order through Amazon is through the pool company it’s about 25% more. They just do the labor. When I went to order a new one the company restricted me from buying another per Amazon due to my returns of one that was never used and one that had a manufacturing defect. The pump is from Century and fulfilled by Amazon and I am a prime member. Amazon said they were escalating the issue but I said F U century and bought a Chinese knockoff for about $70 less, purchased an Asurion 4 year warranty and still paid less than the Century motor. The Chinese one is working Amazing.Don’t waste your money for a company that does this Nazi crap. As far as I’m concerned century sucks. This is also per the pool company. They said they will no longer buy products from Century because they suck to deal with. The pool company said based on my experience they will no longer get recommend Century since there are many other companies that provide the same product with WAY BETTER QUALITY PERFORMANCE AND SERVICE. They also said they are going to pass the word to other pool company’s about this experience.Buy a different one!Good luck.

Good product and fast shipping
Product was as described, easy to install and super fast shipping. Wish they had better instructions or any at all, but they can easily be found online. Price is fair I guess. Did find it cheaper in a couple of other places, but again, shipping was so much faster it was worth the extra money. Literally received in 1 1/2 days and am pleased overall.

Perfect fit for replacing Pentair Part Number 7-177475-20
The media could not be loaded. Overall happy with Century B2854. Installed it yesterday 3 July and so far running with no issues.- Delivery was a day late but arrived in good condition.- Installation was straight forward. Make sure you look for videos on line to help you along the way.- I also ordered seal kit GOKIT32. Make sure you have seal lubricant as it is not part of the kit.- Lesson leaned here: My pump motor was likely over 10 years old and I'm thinking that is why the two bottom bolts holding the motor to the seal plate were impossible to remove. Make sure that you loosen all 4 bolts before removing them. I completely removed the two top bolts and broke the seal plate when trying to remove the bottom two bolts.- Motor is definitely quieter then the old Pentair.

Reasonable replacement for a discontinued SuperFlo pump
The bearings on the motor of our old SuperFlo pool pump were making bad noise when I started the pool up this spring. It was about time for a replacement so I started looking for a replacement. Seems Pentair stopped making this filter and motor setup so factory replacement motors were difficult to find at a reasonable cost. I decided to go with this Century B2854 motor instead. Okay, the color doesn't match, but I can live with that. The motor went on easily and dismantling the pump gave me an opportunity to replace all the older seals. The Century works like a charm and is nice and quiet. I'm really happy with it (even the color.)
