Rinse-able clay! Worked great for me.
I've used a handful of clay bars before---and each time I am amazed by how such a simple procedure improves a wax job. Something about the clay shaves off dirt, imperfections and film so nicely, leaving a vastly smoothed and prepared surface for a finish. If you've ever been disappointed that a freshly waxed car feels a little...gritty?...this is the answer right here.Clay bars are great, but also are a little bit of a hassle...kneading it, keeping from dropping it, monitoring the level of dirt & grit in the clay. Sometimes they get sticky, and I've had one kind of dissolve mid-job.I thought I'd try this because the surface is so nice and flat and it would be easy to handle. The BEST thing about it is that it can be rinsed and wiped clean as often as you'd like, giving you a fresh surface.Aficionados debate whether these devices are as good as real clay. Having used both, I'd say that the Clay Block is easily good enough for the regular Joe trying to get a smooth, glossy finish on the daily driver. I thought it was very easy to use, rinse-able, and it allowed me to get a fantastic finish on a white 2012 Rogue (which was a filthy mess). Two coats of Duragloss and the car looks like new---really. Glassy smooth. I don't think I could have done any better with a regular clay bar.I got a great tip from watching a youtube review on this thing---the guy used a very light touch---didn't bear down at all. Like---three fingers pressure. If you press too hard, the edges will catch the finish and the block will try to pull itself out of your hands. That's the clue that you're pressing too hard. Use lots of lube (quick detailer spray---I used Griots and it was great), use a light touch letting the bar do the work, rinse and wipe it clean with a microfiber towel, and enjoy the magic.

Replace your clay bars with this guy
Coming from traditional clay bars, I have to say: I love this thing. It makes claying a vehicle so much easier and faster. It works quite well (though I think a "heavy duty" clay bar will remove a tad bit more than this guy). And I love that if I drop it, I just need to spray it off and keep using it - I don't have to throw it away as I would with clay.I have found that it is sometimes hard to hold on to, especially as it starts getting wet from the clay lubricant. I did end up dropping this a number of times more than I ever would actual clay - but since it's so easy to clean off I'm not really worried about it.With proper storage (keep the little wax sheet thing that comes with it in the bag to keep the "clay surface" from sticking to the bag) it should last quite some time. Very happy I decided to try this out!

Love it! No more going back to traditional clay bar.
This worked absolutely as it was designed for. It is way larger than a piece of original clay bar that would take forever to finish a single car panel. It was simple to use and worked quickly. The photo is after using the clay bar and before any compound or wax was done and you can see the paint pop!I will continue to be using this and not the tiny little clay bar pieces.

Very good lube, block is a bit stiff
Overall the kit does a great job. I've used the lube with regular clay, and it does a great job with the clay itself. No scuffing, no marring, Very easy to use. My only objection is that the block was a bit stiffer that I would have liked on curved surfaces.

I was very impressed
Easy to use and it worked well on a 20-yr old vehicle for a clay bar novice like myself.

Works okay
If you’re familiar with traditional clay bar you might be disappointed with this new product. The pro is that it’s easy to hold. The con is that you can’t work the clay to keep it clean to “see” how dirty the surface was.
