Planters Salted Peanuts Single Serve (2oz Bags, Pack of 144)

I love peanuts and was extremely excited when I came across this offer. It was the best value per ounce I could find for individually packaged peanuts and thought it was almost too good to be true, but it isn't. I was a bit concerned that these were only lightly salted, however I was not disappointed once I tried them. In fact I prefer these to the regularly salted and I'm sure the less sodium intake is healthier. Addi I think these are a great idea for snacks especially if you are a parent and are on duty for snack week for your child's sport

Good peanuts, packaging and large serving size.

The peanuts seam just as good on the last day as they are on the first day. My husband likes the serving size and has 1 every day

The 2oz bag is perfect for nice snack while working hard but cannot stop for meal. These actually take the place for my lunch so I can wait until dinner for my meal. The only negative is my fault. I ordered way too many, the 144 bags will last me over a year but at least I have great treats for grandkids and friends who are not allergic.

Here in summer 2021, I went to re-order the 144ct (lightly salted), which I got a few times recently at $51 USD and was surprised to see the price jumped by about 40% in just the past several months to over $85. Other configurations like the 1oz also exploded in price.I was getting the 144ct at around .17 cents per oz but it's now closer to .30. I hope it's a temporary price fluctuation because I absolutely love Planters peanuts, BUT the product was just sold from one mega food conglomerate to another so that could be a reason.Dropping a star because of the sudden sharp price increase. Otherwise I'm a big fan of this snack.I ended up ordering my Planters this time from an Amazon seller that is a towel manufacturer of all things, to get .22 cents per ounce with fingers crossed that the use-by date is not expired.[UPDATE: this order took 10 days to arrive - expiry date 10 months away, so that was the tradeoff which eh, I'm okay with.]One of the most dependably good and healthy snacks you can count on. Sad to see the price hike. Will update in the future if it makes sense.

Very affordable product that was/is a little extra favor at a senior adult event. Being lightly salted was a big benefit for those who restricted their sodium intake but still wanted the great taste of a quality salted peanut!

Sounded too good to be true, at 16 cents per 2 ounce pack, but it wasn’t. 144- 2 ounce packs, 18 pounds total. I’ve only opened one pack but no issues with the quality, and they all come from the same batch and have the same expiration date in 2020, in a factory sealed box so prior comments about this may have been resolved. Also the only ingredients are peanuts, peanut oil, and sea salt; no cottonseed oil as one person mentioned so they must have switched it since then.

Since it works out to less than 16 cents a bag, it's hard to complain and I wouldn't at all if they weren't Planters. I still have an expectation of a certain quality because of the brand name.These peanuts really are pea-sized and covered in shredded skins. They don't taste quite right. Not bad, just not great, almost as though they would normally be shipped off in some off brand package. I'll keep them, but I won't order them again.If you're only concerned about price, they are cheap and edible.
