Excellent Quality Dog Door
As the cheapest option I was able to find, I am really impressed with this dog door. It's made surprise well, and installs in just a few minutes. Since I didn't opt for the locks to make it connect to the actual sliding door, the install took less than two minutes. My two complaints are:1. The plastic sliding door for the 7x11 opening does not stay up. It has to be completely removed to open the door. It's a slight nuisance but no big deal.2. The plastic flap does of the 7x11 door frame does not form a 'perfect' seal (there are tiny visible gaps), so I will apply more weather strip along the frame to seal it better. These are two minor issues, one of which has an easy fix. I am willing to overlook the little things for the price point, so I still consider this dog door a five star product.

Perfect and very nice matte chrome finish
I bought this one because it was a lower price than the brown thinking, I'll just paint if it looks too cheap. Turns out it has a nice finish, was super easy to install and works perfectly. I'm babysitting 3 cats for a couple weeks and wanted them to be able to on the patio without letting all the a/c out. Stick to your guns and don't tape the door up like others suggested. I put on of the soft toys partially opening the magentic door a few times and a in less than a day 2 cats had completely figured it out and on the second day all 3 three cats figured it out. It comes with a decent sized length of foam tape for any gap due to door styles. I added more foam gap tape ($4 at walmart or likely amazon too) and no air is escaping.

Very nice, but could be better.
It was easy to install until I got to the lock. Naturally, I can't find any videos that cover the installation of the lock.It also looks great with the exception of it being slightly wider at the top, causing a small gap at the bottom. Yes, even after the weather stripe was added. The draft guard pieces are ever so helpful too. I just wish it came with something to close the gap between the screen and added dog door panel. We like to let fresh air in, but without flying bugs coming in.

Why did I wait so long - it's great!!!
I'm a lifelong dog owner & my dogs have always trained me in constantly getting up & down to let them in & out 24/7. Finally, thanks to my latest rescue & work from home routine- I decided to try a doggie door. Why did I wait so long? The freedom for me & my fur babies is great!!!I purchased the "used-like new" option, there's a small ding in the frame & the outer package was pretty torn up & retaped. But that was mentioned in the product details & for the reduced price that I paid, I don't mind. The product inside the box was new & all the pieces were included and able to be installed.Installing it took me about 30 minutes. I have a very old sliding glass door, so I did have to make some adjustments after the initial installation to slide it into the doorframe. There was still a big gap after installing the provided weatherstriping , but I added weatherstriping that I had onhand to the door surface itself & between that & a few pieces of foil tape, filled the gap. So weatherstriping on doogie door frame side & then on sliding glass door frame side, fixed the issue. The adjustable bar style lock on the other side helps to keep it all lined up & fairly air tight. It was very easy to figure out & my 2 yr old schipperke mix was already going in & out as I was trying to install it. He's the main reason I got it, so I was very happy he liked it. My 12 yr old cheweenie is still trying to figure it out. He's nervous about the flap movement, so I have to flip it open & closed for him.... hoping he gets it someday. But at least I have 1 dog using it fulltime & non-stop all day & all night long. The magnetic flap is pretty good about closing itself as the dogs go in & out. Yes, I'm sure it's not particularly energy efficient- but it does what I need it to do. It does include an inside shield that slides over the flap & snap locks it shut, so you can close it up at night & when you're not home. One observation I do have, is that it's listed as being good for up to 35 pound dogs. My guys both weigh in at about 24 pounds & while they fit thru the door ok- I cannot imagine trying to squeeze another 10 pounds thru that opening? I might suggest sizing up from the suggested weights in the product details if you have a larger dog.Very happy with it so far. If anything changes, I'll update my review.

Sturdy pet door insert
This was super easy to install and has been a very durable insert. I was worried about how sturdy it would be when the slider door was t shut since the screen door doesn’t linen up right with it, but for my little 10 lb dogs it works great! And they dash like crazy through the pet door and we haven’t had any problems. Great buy!

Exactly what I needed
My cat and I moved into an apartment and he was used to doing his walk around the pool twice a day at the house. We do have a deck so I fixed it up so he can go outside. Here in Texas you can’t just leave a door cracked so I bought this. All of a sudden everyone I know needs one for their cat! It looks nice and Bob had no trouble figuring it out. It came with a lock to attach to the door frame and a roll of weatherstripping. TEN stars!

Does the job but directions could be clearer
First order never arrived and was presumed lost. Second order finally arrived and the package had some minor damage. As for the door, there was a small dent on the frame and one tension screw had come loose that I was lucky to find in the door channel.Instructions are poorly written and illustrated as far as the location and placement of the bumper seal and vinyl draft seal. I used extra vinyl to improve the seal between the existing sliding door and the fast fit panel.
