Outdoor rated yet it’s highly corrosive
We bought this because we have three blade fans throughout the house that look like this. The ad says this was outdoor “wet” rated and this is what it looks like after a few years of use. Don’t order this for an outdoor application if you don’t mind how it will look later!Otherwise, there have been no other issues and it has worked very well. Knock on wood.

Sleek elegant fan!
Bought this for an outdoor pergola we just installed. We fitted a wall switch to be able to turn it off/on and use the remote to change speed. Love the 6 different speed settings. It is elegant to look at and hopefully will withstand any rain as it is supposed to be good for wet locations.

What a bad experience.
I received the fan and noticed the packing box is not the original box because I ordered the fan in Brushed Nickel finish, but the color showed on the box is Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Anyways, I called an Electrician to install on July 25, 2018. He spent about 1 hour to assemble, hang and trouble shooting as the fan did not work. It doesn't turn with any speed, only has small ticking. Finally it was deemed defective. I then called Minka Aire customer service. They believed that the receiver is defective and promised to send me a new receiver. I'm still waiting for the receiver to arrive and give the fan another try. If it is still not working, I will definitely return it.Very Frustrating!!! Even the fan did not work, I still had to pay the Electrician $125 for the installation. What a bad experience
