Trustworthy product and brand name
Monroe products are well manufactured, include limited lifetime warranty, and are easy to install.Highly recommend this product.Purchase through Amazon.com was flawless. Delivered in less than a week, installed in a day.Cost savings of approximately 50% (total product and labor) from price quoted by automotive chain store. American dream alive and well, as work went to local shop without exhorbatant mark up of product and labor to cover advertising, credit and Wall street profits.

What's not to like.
We had a shop install them as I'm getting too old to climb around under a car. Because of this, I'm not able to comment on ease of installation for this car. We had the front, pre-sprung struts replaced at the same time. The price of the struts with the springs was the same price the shop would have charged up for a set of struts, without new springs attached. For those who care, the cost to have a shop replace all four shocks was $352.00 in labor. The set of shocks was installed on a 2007, Pontiac, G5 which has 65k miles on the odometer. The car was getting sloppy in the mountains and making me look like a worse driver then I really am. I'm not the best driver in the world but I'm far from being the driver the old shocks made me look like I was. The car was hard to control and in my opinion, my driving skills aside, the car was all over the road. Immediately upon getting back on the road with the new front struts and rear Sensa-Trac shocks installed, even when going down a straight stretch of road, one could feel the difference in how the vehicle was responding to the surface of the road. Once in the mountains, there was a BIG difference in handling.Fast two day delivery; Amazon, Prime. The shocks came in a box with Monroe markings and the shocks themselves were all black with no labels attached. I went to the Monroe website and used their search engine to verify which shocks were the correct shocks for our car and then entered the Monroe supplied part numbers into Amazon's search engine.FYI (I didn't know this) the struts come in a left and right version so be sure to purchase a left and right strut. The rear shocks don't have this concern.Over all, other then the heavy price to have the shocks replaced (ouch!), these shocks and front struts are an excellent "MONROE" product, at an excellent delivered price and I wouldn't hesitate to order more or encourage family/friends to buy these shocks as stock replacement shocks.

Gotta Love Exact Fit and Low Costs!
I love the Monroe brand. They make cheap, but fairly reliable shocks. Lets face it, these are something that will wear. I was not surprised to discover a little bounce in the rear of my car (08 Cobalt), but I was dreading the price tag. Not at all with Monroe. In stock, quick ship, exact fit, great replacements to improve the ride quality of the daily ride. The price to buy both here was less than the cost to buy one in the stores! Two very easy to remove bolts and BAM... New Shocks! Vehicle rides better, quieter too. Best of all they are just what was needed to pass inspection at the end of the month.

Exact fit OEM
Replaced my worn out rear shocks with Monroe, and the replacement went pretty easy. The only problem was a stuck bolt, but other than that, everything went fine. Makes a big difference now, glad I replaced them. Easy installation. Definitely recommend.

usado y con fuga.
El amortiguador llegó usado y con fuga claramente se ve que la caja ya había sido abierta sólo le pusieron un tape para cerrarla.

easy to install--cured rear wheel bounce and gave a little bit of a jacked up rear end--ok it was only about 1/2" but you can really tell when you sit in the car--much nicer ride now--original gm shocks gave up around 270000 km.hope these last at least 100000 km

They're OK, with a caveat.
**Updated review** So further to my original review, these are dead after roughly a year and a half of Nova Scotia roads, and I drive very little, not much more than 10 to 12 thousand kilometers on them and they are toast. Oil seals are gone, shocks have leaked out, now just a lot of bumping and knocking over every little crack in the road. replacing with the OEM Delco shocks, the originals lasted 7 years and were only replaced because the upper shield over the rod had rusted away, they were still working fine when I took them off, buy the Delco, they are even cheaper then these right now.Just installed these on my 2009 G5. As some others have mentioned here and elsewhere, Monroe's tolerances on the bushing mounts and sleeves is maybe not the best. I'm actually a trained auto mechanic and after installing the set of these and a quick test drive, I had to remove the bolts from one side and rotate the shock 180 degrees. The sleeves through the bushings on top are shorter then the OEM units, so they are off on the sleeve dimensions and it seems when the collars that house the bushings are being welded to the shock body some of them are being welded off center causing poor fitment issues. So with a little fiddling and one false start they are in there now and seem to be fine, so I'd say buy them but if you install these yourself be prepared for the possibility that you may have to play with them or even use a shim on the top mounting bolt.
