good product
Many people complaining that its not sealed and there is nothing added to the acetone to keep it dry. I live at a much higher elevation than most people and when I opened the bottle I heard air rushing out of the bottle, so yes it was totally sealed and no air was getting in or out. Also if you really need your acetone to by anhydrous just bake some pure epsom salts (MgSO4 or magnesium sulfate) in the oven for a couple hours. I reccomend starting lower around 250F, maby even lower since it starts popping like pop corn while the water is boiling out. As more water leaves the salts and it calms down crank it up to 400F and eventually 500F to make sure they are totally free of water. I spent a total of 3 hours baking my salts. You know they are totally dry when it looks like pure white chalk and has a cube shape to the salt, compared to the big clear salt crystals that comes in the original bag. Crush the top layer of salts up with something like a metal spoon and scoop up only powder and dump it into the bottle. You only need a couple grams, or a couple scoops. I did not notice any reaction when I dumped the anhydrous magnesium sulfate into the acetone bottle. I had a nice 1/8 inch layer at the bottom of the bottle and it would swirl around like a snow globe so I'm fairly certain this comes very dry. Note: dont put any chunks of the baked epsom salts into the acetone bottle, they will float and odds are you dont want the epsom salt in the acetone when you use it so crush it up really well. Give it at least 12 hours but i recommend 24 hours to allow all the baked salts to settle to the bottom of the bottle and then use a glass pipette to suck acetone from the top of the bottle, be careful when handling bottle its very easy to disturb the settled salts. Also doesnt seem to leave any residue after it evaporates so im fairly certain this is 99% acetone, also if it contained alcohol it wouldve gave me a much different reaction for what I used it for and it worked just how it was supposed to

Not much to say about a pretty straightforward product. It's acetone. Worked as it should.

It was good for what I needed it to be.
I live and work in high elevations. I work construction and I use a lot of oil based paints and stains. I was told this was great for cleaning cut-in brushes by another painter and boy was he right!!! If you paint you know how important it is to have a well cleaned paintbrush, but this can be extremely time consuming having to stop what you're doing to go clean your brush several times a day especially with mineral spirits or regular acetone, not to mention hard on expensive brushes do to the aggressive cleaning I'd have to do all day with them. So I'm extremely happy with this product. For the negative reviews I can't say if it is or it isn't anhydrous acetone (I had to look that up lol) but for me it really didn't matter, but I guess it would be pretty important when doing lab work or science experiments. There was just a cap with no seal but as another reviewer that lives in high elevation stated you could hear the air transfer when opened which tells me there was no air getting in or out. I looked up the company that manufacturers this product and they seem like a well respected company in the industry. So I don't know I guess you'll have to use your own best judgment for what you need it for.But for me it gets🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟easy.

Actually works great on nails
Works great to remove nail polish, unlike the beauty store junk (we’re u have to scrub n scrub ) that I’ve been using that claims to be 100% . But I’ve recently learned it’s all basically diluted down but still claims 100%

If ACS grade why only lab use
I'm giving this 3* but I haven't used it yet. I'm rather skeptical since I ordered the ACS grade acetone why it's saying it can't be used for food drug or household. Even in there own disclaimer it states ACS grade and lab grade are very different in purity. Also if it is an ACS graded product there should be no issues with it's use in food related plant related applications. I am just not understanding and if I have products people buy eat etc from me how can I be sure this product will be sufficient and I don't get sued losing my business.
