Excellent purchase for prosumers
Excellent ubiquiti access points for the win again. These are a great buy as they provide pretty much enterprise grade WiFi and customization for more control and business level security. If ur a prosumer who can figure out how to set these up on different vlans do it! These are a better buy than the eero because of all the many many features I can drill out of these things. Only thing is u would need the other ubiquiti devices to really get that performance out of them. But great purchase

Great product
This was in a room with No AP the signal came from below the room through floor. Had no internet before in this area. Brick walls and concrete building. Need to work the RSSI and make everything gel.

Not what they say
I was like you, eagerly awaiting the day for a budget approval to install a 5-AP system on my boss’ property that I manage.Large old country estate in the woods, I dreamed of what this would offer-easily managed network with ample coverage from correctly placed AP’s throughout the property and buildings. Well-I’m here to say that it’s a scam. About $1000 and 2 weeks of time later, this system has let me down.My hodge podge system of old routers, the TMobile gateway device’s router, they all outperform this “professional” system by about double. I scanned RF environment, set strength to high manually, switched to only 2.4ghz for increased range. I WANTED to believe that it would work if I just gave it time.My impression is this-Ubiquiti wants you to place a $150-$200 AP in nearly every room. That’s about what the coverage did for me. I was sitting about 30ft away with direct line of site from an AP and had 2 out of 3 bars on my iPhone. What a joke. Might work well in a giant office with cubicles and no walls. If you’ve got a building with rooms and some well built walls-save yourself the time and money or re-evaluate your expectations.
