Defective - Wont Work
Part did not work. After installing, car would start only after turning off and, over and over. Tried starting the car the next morning and same thing, would not start unless I turned it off and on repeatedly. Killed my battery, dash lights went crazy and car would not start. Good thing I didn't have the issue of my car randomly turning off while traveling. Installed my original part I removed and now my car starts again. Returning this item, defective and just plain garbage after reading more reviews.

Fixed my impala BCM problem
My 02 Impala was having weird malfunction issues sometimes it would not start and when it did it would occasionally shutdown while driving, not a pleasant feeling. Anyways, I tried replacing multiple components from the hazard light button to switching the BCM unit and still had no luck until I finally switched out the ignition switch. Success!! My car is back to running normal. This part saved me a lot of money because I was able to return the BCM unit that cost $130. It been about 3 months with no issues.

Worked Fine / Fit Perfectly
This ignition switch fit perfectly in my 2001 Monte Carlo, just as the site promised. There weren't any instructions, but I was able to find installation instructions in the vehicle repair manual section of my local library's online database. I saved about $20 over buying it from the local discount parts store.

If you disconnected the battery it would start up again like nothing happened
This resolved the no crank, no start condition for my 2003 Impala. The car would not start 1 out of every 10 times. All the electronics would go dead and it wouldn't even attempt to crank the engine. If you disconnected the battery it would start up again like nothing happened. So far this has fixed the issue. I already had the BCM replaced, the bad BCM was causing the car to turn off while driving or go dead when attempting to start. This issue can be caused by the BCM and/or the ignition switch. I don't know why it says chrysler but this fits perfectly in my impala.

I got what I paid for...
[...] 1999 Alero is posseded now. It didn't start well/at all until I replaced this and the key cylinder, now it starts every time, but randomly will start the heater blower, draining the battery, The fun part is the interlock button on the shifter (which goes to the switch) will turn everything off (all this WITHOUT THE KEY in it). Bottom line, I hope Amazon will live up to it's rep and replace this, but as I have to go out of town I have a workaround. Removing the negative battery cable and it can't do that. You get what you pay for, and even though it looked identical to the original parts, it isn't. Bite the bullet and buy the ACDELCO parts...
