I know that it has helped tremendously!
....though I am sorry to say that it has not cured my MinPin's cataracts (diabetes induced).I can say that these OcluVet drops have helped my dog see better because he rarely runs smack into things like he used to---and I don't mean things that are in front of him that he is used to (i.e. knows where they usually are, like chairs or laundry hampers) but things that someone has recently put in his way. (like a new bag of dog food just brought into the house or a bag of garbage that I've taken out of the can but not taken outside yet)Things that are very close to him he still doesn't see well but his distance/peripheral vision is definitely better than it was before I started the drops. (as if the drops have shrunk the diameter of the cataracts and thinned the thickness of them somewhat)Also, the OcluVet drops may have kept the cataracts from getting worse (bigger and thicker), and thereby leaving him totally blind, as I have been very regimented in applying the drops 3x per day ever since I started using them (and this is my 2nd bottle purchased). They are very expensive for the amount you receive, but they do last a good while--over 2 months for a small dog that only needs 1 drop per eye, 3x a day (any more than one drop just squeezes right out, his eyes are so small)I have had no problems with a leaky bottle, as some people have reported---I just make sure the cap is on tightly and shake the bottle side to side rather than up and down. Also, no problems with too many drops coming out when I squeeze the bottle---I first position the dog, holding his eye open, then turn the bottle upside down over his eye, then very slowly and gently squeeze out one drop.I plan to continue using these drops either as long as I can afford them (and with their price and this economy, who knows how long that will be??) or until they don't seem to be working well enough any more to be worth their price.MEDI-VET ANIMAL HEALTH please take note: Please, please, please lower the price of these drops so that more people can try to save their pet's sight?? You'll sell more bottles in the long run and help so many more animals! Cataract sury costs were out of my reach, plus there is no guarantee that the surgery itself will not bring on other eye problems that could blind a dog, such as glaucoma. After much research I felt that OcluVet drops were my only chance to try and save at least SOME of my dog's sight and I'm glad that I took a chance on them.UPDATE: Still using these drops (June 2013) but now I only do them 1-2 times a day, depending on how Tracker's cataracts are looking that particular week---and they DO seem to get worse in a cyclic fashion. When I notice that the cataract seems thicker or bigger in diameter I use the drops twice a day until they appear to be diminishing, then go back to one drop a day.As I said, I don't believe these drops can/do "cure" a well established cataract but I KNOW they do help with Tracker's cataracts. He's still running at almost full speed in the yard and unless there are very deep shadows along with bright sunshine (the cataracts keep his pupil from reacting quickly enough to the differing light) or it's full dark, he never runs into things, so I know he still has vision. The new, lower price is a welcome surprise, I must say. :o)I'm ordering another bottle now.....UPDATE: Jan. 2014 - Still using these drops for my diabetic MinPin and he still has good enough vision that unless he's in near darkness or moving from VERY bright sunlight into deep shade he never runs into anything, even in unfamiliar territory. When my dog was diagnosed with diabetes the Vet warned me that if he started to develop cataracts (and most diabetic dogs do), that he would most likely be totally blind in one or both eyes within 6 months, with no recourse after that other than very expensive (and possibly dangerous) surgery. And even after the surgery there was no guarantee that the eye(s) wouldn't have to be removed due to the onset of glaucoma, which sometimes happens after a dog's eye has had surgery done on it for any reason.I'm so glad that I found these drops! Now, if they would only get a little cheaper. ;)UPDATE: April 24, 2014 - I just ordered another bottle of these drops a week or so ago since my dog's eyesight is still about the same as it was---definitely no worse. I attribute the fact that he hasn't gone completely blind by now solely to these drops. His vet is very surprised that he still has vision after having developed cataracts over 3 yrs ago.

It does reallty work.
These drops have worked and continue to work. It's a bit of work to get my doggo to remain still, but he eventually does. My guy had more cloudiness in his eyes that he was bumping into things, but after some time it started to clear. His eye isn't totally clear, but it's improved a lot and I can still see some cloudiness. For the most part it's improved much and he doesn't bump into things and can see decent. The bottle lasts about three months, but does start to drip faster the lower it gets so you need to be ready so you don't waste it. Also, yes it does have a gold/yellow tint to it so don't worry about it. It shouldn't be dark though like I saw in one of the customer supplied photos. All in all I highly recommend this product as it hasn't irritated or harmed, but did improve my dogs sight and eye.

3rd bottle
On my third bottle. Unfortunately, there has not been any improvement. My rat terrierâs eyes are just as cloudy as they were before I started the eye drops. I usually donât write reviews because most of my orders from Amazon are fine. But this product is quite expensive and I guess I fell for the marketing because I was hoping that the eye drops would help improve her life. Maybe for another dog it might work better.

RECOMMENDED BY MY VET
My Poodle has gone blind in one eye due to a cataract. Her other eye was beginning to show signs of a cataract as well. My Vet recommended these drops to help slow down the degeneration. The Vet did not guarentee these drops would completely stop the growth of the cataract but would, in fact, SLOW DOWN the progression of my dogs blindness. This was something I could do rather than have surgery done on my dog's eye. It was worth buying the drops. I don't know how soon or how fast my pet's vision will be completely gone - but I am glad I have the drops. It has been over 6 months and my dog still has vision in one eye, impaired yes, but she can see! The Vet had these same drops in his office for $200.00. I told him, "No way!" I told him I would pay his Vet office the internet price or I would go home and order them. He said they charged $200.00 and he did not know the internet price. I found these OcluVet Eye Drops, 15ml, to be exactly what was recommended to me by my Vet. I ordered them and received them in about 1 week. I am on my second bottle and now use 1 drop only per day for my dog. The Vet said to start with 3 drops a day for one month - then down to 1 drop per day. TIP: shake well before each use. (My Vet advised this because of the compounds separating). Put your finger on the tip once cap is removed to shake. If you shake with the cap on you lose drops inside the cap and around the top of the dropper. These eye drops are too expensive to lose even 1 single drop! I would totally recommend these drops. They have helped my dog's vision so far and I will continue using them. My pets vision is certainly worth the price.
