Alright as a toy or for someone looking into at least experimenting with drums. Comes with headphones included which is a nice bonus as it means you can use it without disturbing others. Easy to set up and a good size. About the right price for the quality. Would be good if it came with an inbuilt speaker if you didn't want to use the headphones.It works well for what it is.

My husband went through the demo stages of this electric drum kit. These were quite good but he felt it was a shame you could’ve keep a particular pattern going as it runs through all the styles on the one switch and you can’t choose and keep to one pattern.The kit choices are very similar - only minor variations which emphasised the inadequate snare sounds, which were mainly a jumble of white noise.However, on the positive sides, the tom toms are very authentic and responsive. He tried it with the headphones on and all worked well, then tried it through the amp/speakers to give it more depth. The click timer he found a little bit annoying, the wood block was ok but the a bell - not so good, which is a shame.Al the buttons worked s they should and it all folded up well.Overall, it’s a bit of fun and for the price it’s a good starter kit for a youngster.

This is a wonderful drum set for any child (or adult) who would like to give it a go at drumming!Inexpensive, does not take much space at all - a dining table and chair and you are set for some beats!You can just plug in with your headphones, or in the video attached, to a small speaker - standard 3.5mm jack cable came with the set packaging. Also, AAA batteries came with the packaging so all you need is a speaker or headphone and it's ready for play.The only miner issue - since most likely you are playing this on a flat surface, when playing your two sticks may hit (as seen/hear in the video). You can avoid this by pressing the 'Special' button, to swap the positions of Hi-Hat and Snare drum, however it would be a bit confusing if you are used to the swapped position and then go on to play on a real drum set.Overall, this is an excellent play set and great fun to play with - it was a real hit at Christmas, everyone had a go at it, and even now, a few days later my kids and their dad would still go to the set and switch it on to have a play for a good 10 minutes or so at a time. It also has some good Demo pieces which my younger child (at 8) would like to jam with and pretend that it was him playing the awesome beats. A clear 5 star item!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this drum, followed the instruction, I realised thy were not speaker as ir mention comes with speaker. Not sure the drum will produce sound with speaker only or just not working???

For a toy that requires you to have headphones it's not really that portable as you'd have to carry around another item just to use the toy. I set it up and the lack of speakers showed when I gave it to my kids to play and the volume was just too loud in their ears.I get that sometimes toys are not meant to be loud but this would have been far more functional by having a speaker.The included drums and the pads were great though in terms of quality which I would not put it down for, the included pedals though felt cheap and one of them was not even functional for me.
