A Dark, Impactful Ending
It is still a head-scratching wonder as to just how resilient Freddie had become towards working every last day he could in the studio or at home. By this point he had become frail and pained, and yet he gave all of that the middle-finger and worked on bar none, Queen's strongest, and one of their heaviest.Innuendo (the opener) alone stands perhaps as the band's evolution to their gargantuan hit, Bohemian Rhapsody. A six-minute long genre leaping epic with an energetic dash of flamenco and delightfully intricate lyrics. The Album's artwork also gives context to some of the wackier songs that fill the runtime, such as Delilah, a love letter to one of Freddie's darling cats - and I'm Going Slightly Mad, a Sweeny-Todd meets Clockword Orange esque deluge of insanity and absurdism which gave the four a chance to let loose and have some wild fun with gorilla heads, real-life penguins, and an eery slide-solo.The album also delivers in full on the band's heavy-side of history, with upbeat rockers like Headlong, and hard-hitting bashes like The Hitman, which itself rivals some of the bands' heaviest tunes. Bijou then takes it down a notch, giving Brian May a chance to shine, one of his most poignant and beautifully delivered guitar melodies creating a calm foreword before the finale.Aside the whackiness is also softer, more thoughtful pieces - Don't Try So Hard is a unique showing of Freddie's vocal ability in later years, and These Are The Days, while a song written by Roger, is often remembered for the spectral video which saw Freddie's last performance with the band take hold, and seemed to radiate his acceptance of his position, without regrets or worries. The Album's finisher represents perhaps the true bookend to not just Freddie's showmanship, but his musical and even real life (Though Made in Heaven does follow). Taking no punches, The Show Must Go On is a daring, unwavering rocker which gives us that classic vocal harmony Queen is known and loved for - as well as showing that no matter his illness, Freddie was prepared to deliver some of the most impactful vocals he ever did.Dark, somber, enigmatic and insightful. Innuendo stands as the -perfect- final note to the band's history - in regards to full albums.

A Superb goodbuy album
What can I say? This is the only album of Queen I have on CD, because I can enjoy it from start to finish, basically it doesn't have filler songs unlike the other albums which I can't appreciate enough to purchase them. And what an album Innuendo is. What an ending of an legend, Freddie Mercury The Show Must Go On.

The Show Went on
This is a review of the remastered vinyl. A really great sound on the heavy vinyl - clear as a bell, delivered on time and safe by Amazon. I will answer a question I had when I ordered, I couldn't understand why this vinyl was around £7- more expensive than any of the others by Queen - reason is this has been turned into a double album, with three tracks (ish)_ on each side. Un-necessary surely?Anyway, instinct from me was four stars for this album, as it is not a favourite of mine really, compared to Jazz or Queen II - but for the latter day Queen it is the best they did in a decade. It has a couple of real standouts in These are the Days...and Show Must Go on. The rest are all strong, no fillers, I'm Going slightly mad - whimsical, and a song dedicated by Mercury to his cat - eccentric! It is a very interesting album, thelast full and proper Queen album - it gets a five as they have provided me with much pleasure over the years & this closes the curtain in style.
