STRONG LIKE A LION!
i noticed right away that the smell is very strong- and the taste.. WOW! much stronger than i have had with other extracts. the maltodextrin adds a tiny bit of zing to it as well. i normally would not be okay with any additives but maltodextrin is benign enough so i took a chance with this one. (edit- NOTE new formula does NOT contain maltodextrin) GLAD I DID. i take my powdered herbs straight up- just throw them into my mouth and wash them down with water. this stuff is STRONG. in fact STRONG would be an understatement. I can feel this stuff working almost immediately. Dandelion root normally packs a punch, and this one hits like a train. did i mention it is STRONG? they are not kidding about the 5x strength- that feels about right. one could use 1/5th the amount they would of standard powder extract.i will be sticking with this brand- not that i will need more anytime soon due to how crazy amazing strong this stuff is. i will be calling the company to tell them how much i like their product as soon as they open for the day (8am as i write this), and plan on using this brand whenever they offer any herbal extract i am looking for.

Taste just fine
After reading the reviews, I thought this would be a great substitute to coffee. I was expecting a strong bitter taste as most of the reviews said. This powder does not taste bad, strong or bitter. I can barely taste it. Not sure what other reviewers are talking about. I'm kind of disappointed that it does not have a strong taste. I purchased it for my dad to wean him off of coffee but this does not (taste) substitute for coffee at all.

Stronger then regular Dandylion powder
Mixes well with my morning cup of coffee. Excellent for maintaining good liver and gut health.

Dissolves well in hot water
The flavor is good enough and does not contain caffeine. Nice and dry in the package. Doesn't clump. Dissolves well in hot water. I mix mine with chickory, and it tastes good that way.

You only use a small amount.
It recommends using a small amount. I can't taste anything so I put it in whatever I'm drinking or eating.
