I wanted something simple, functional, sleek and easy. I got it. This is an attractive little clock I use for only two functions: time and alarm. I need something that is small and unobtrusive to fit on my bedside table and that will allow me to see the time during the night without fumbling for my phone or trying to see the tiny digits on the DVR or the stove as I pass them on my way to the bathroom in a sleepy fog - I need to not have to wake up to understand the time! This is great. I don't need complete darkness so the slightly brighter light than is strictly necessary doesn't bother me at all, however if you want something very dim you should consider one of the darker models - I understand the white model has a brighter display to stand out against a white background.All in all I am very happy with this device and think it's great value for the price. Fancy it ain't. Absolutely spot on as described and easy to use it most certainly is.

I ordered this clock for my study, so I could see it from down the hall. I had had a wooden block clock years ago and loved it. It works great, looks great, great price, and when I figured out how useful the sound-activated feature is, I immediately ordered another for my bedroom. I can't sleep with ANY light in my bedroom, and have jettisoned many clocks for this very reason, so the sound-activated feature is perfect. Just clap your hands or say "hey!" and the time shows up, but casts no light otherwise. It's stylish and easy to use and set (I cannot fathom why so many reviewers say they've had trouble setting it; it's easy as pie). Easily the best product, especially for the price, that I have bought from Amazon. Highly recommended. Be advised that the description is a bit inaccurate; no AAA batteries are needed; just the CR2025 button battery that is included.

I love this clock. It has a simple design which makes it really attractive. You can adjust the brightness of the display and I like that it shows the date and the temperature as well as the time. I would have given it five stars but one feature doesn't work as well as I had hoped. You can choose to have the display on all the time or to have it on for about fifteen seconds and then it disappears. It is then noise activated (like clapping) and the display shows up again. I thought this would be perfect for at night. There would be absolutely no glow from the display (I like my bedroom really dark) but then I could clap in the middle of the night if I wanted to see what time it was. Brilliant idea, not so great execution. You have to clap right next to it in order to get it to work. Across the bedroom isn't loud enough to make the display turn on defeating the purpose of having to not get up to see what time it is. Fix the sensitivity and it is the perfect clock.

I think the clock was just as advertised; despite the negative reviews in Amazon. I found the setup fairly easy ; it's a little bigger than I thought but it looks really cool; I like the options for dimming because it is fairly bright by default. I don't use the alarm features because I don't need them; I just wanted a small clock to go along with my new set-top boxes. Spectrum does not have clocks in their new boxes. As others have mentioned, I just got really used to having a clock there. The Date and Temperature displays are also an added plus. I like sequencing thru those options. I don't expect the temperature to be exact but it helps to have an overall idea of the room temperature. I'm looking to order 2 more for my other set-top boxes. My issue is only trying to decide whether to buy the same ones because they also have them in different shapes and sizes.

Less than 2 months old and it's brokenFlashing numbers and beeping, tried to reset but only lasts a couple of hours then back to the flashing numbers and beeping.

I bought this clock to replace an old Radio Shack large digit clock we had had for a long time. After years of service one of the buttons failed and we could no longer set the time. We wanted a time only clock and so selected this version of the clock. There seems to be a number of versions of this clock from different suppliers on Amazon that do roughly the same thing, however some were bigger (width wise) to accommodate displaying temperature along with the time in which we were not interested.The clock case is made of a composite wood material with a textured wood effect plastic finish applied to make it look like the clock case is made from a single solid piece of wood. This appears not to be the case but the effect is reasonable. Setting up the clock is very easy and we easily made it display the time only in 24 hours format. It is has the ability to display temperature in an alternate time then temperature display format but temperature appears to be displayed in Fahrenheit only and we could find no option to set it to Centigrade which made it pointless for us. It also seemed to be incorrect when compared with more accurate thermometers we have. We do not use the option to turn on the display with sound, but we tried it out and it appeared to work as described.The provided USB charger has a very bright red light facing out into the room when plugged in which makes it a problem for use in the bedroom, so we used one of our many spare USB chargers which had a subtle blue light that was much more acceptable. The batteries are used for back up only. When power is off, the display is kept on by the batteries and not just the timer chip, so it runs down very quickly on batteries only. My old clock would maintain the time but not keep the display powered on when power was off, thus allowing the battery to last for a couple off years. When power is restored the time would be correct.Given the price, this is a nice neat, effective and reasonably good looking desk clock for use on a desk or in a bedroom. You would not mistake this for a high quality beautifully made clock, hewn from a solid piece of Oak or equivalent and neither should you expect it at this price.Recommended. Marked down for Fahrenheit only temperature and USB charger with a very bright red light facing out into the room when plugged in.

This clock never kept the right time and has now stopped working entirely!!!If it was $10 I could be ok with that, but it’s not. I tried to buy a nicer looking one but assumed it would work!

The item markets as a newer version with ability to dim and have the clock stay on all the time or go on standby. Under the descriptions it shows as having a proper power cord and plug to connect clock to wall. The item received was not as described. It was attractive despite being cheaply made. However, it was the older model with no dimming options. It did go on standby mode but there was no feature option to have it remain on all the time. The power code came without a plug. I’m returning it for false advertising. Despite being on sale, given the features it was missing, it wasn’t worth even the sale price.
