I love this bench scraper! It's tough, it cleans easily, it has a nice edge, and it just plain works!I use this whenever I make either bread or pasta. It's great for both helping certain doughs get mixed (pasta if you're doing the well method) and for cleaning off the counter. It cuts balls of dough easily. The handle is nice, easy to grip. It washes off without much trouble. (I've only hand washed it; haven't tried the dishwasher, and haven't really been tempted to either.)Caution: this is a piece of metal. If you have a counter that's wood or another soft material, it might get scratched.

Great tool that handles well. It's sharp and flat. Love the feel of it, very lightweight and beefy at the same time. Perfect.

I like the device although I probably don't get it out of the drawer as often as I should (I already have the chef's knife in my hand, so that's convenient but not as wide). I do recommend handwashing, though. I'm not sure how well the plastic handle would hold up in a dishwasher.

Excellent item! Have really wanted one of these for years & finally my arthritic wrist made me step up to the plate & buy one. This one is perfect & helps a lot. I also purchased a pastry blender which is very helpful too. They both make life easier & less painful.

I saw this scraper as the tool of choice on America's Test Kitchen, and since I needed one, ordered it right off. As I read through the reviews, though, I was concerned at the mixed bag from reviewers, some commenting that this was a flat-bladed scraper, while others maintained it had a cutting edge. All I could do was cross my finger that the one I received had an edge capable of cutting.It didn't. Not to say that the edges aren't sharp - when I run it across my butcher-block work island, it will take up a fair amount of wood with each pass, but cutting through a bunch of celery leaves the edges ragged. Chopping herbs with it is equally ragged. I want my kitchen scrapers to do double-duty - both scrape and chop cleanly. So while it'll take off the surface of my butcher-block like a planer, it does a pretty poor job of chopping vegetables.It DOES have a thick, STURDY blade, and feels good in my hand, so the ergonomics are just about perfect. I'm disappointed it doesn't chop like I'd hoped, but the tool is otherwise excellent, and surpasses any other kitchen scraper I've owned in design and comfort.

It's simple but gets the job done and that was a good while ago. Very good tool and good design and appearance.

This is a quality kitchen tool. I bought it exclusively for dividing up pizza dough into individual dough balls. It works great. I read several reviews and evaluated other brands before buying this one.The edge isn’t sharpened like a knife. It is just thin sturdy metal. It cuts dough totally fine. I think some reviewers are expecting this to be a sharpened blade, which it isn’t!I read reviews for OTHER brands that said the metal arrived with oil on it. It sounded like they were dirty from manufacturing. That majorly turned me off considering we are talking about a kitchen tool that will come into contact with food. This led me to discover the Sani-Safe product. It looked like a quality + clean product... which it is.Happy with my purchase. Works great for pizza dough. And let’s get real, why bother make anything besides pizza right???
