This V bridle 3" width by 36" length tow strap with forged links and hooks along with a double layered strap that's heavy duty stitched is one quality piece of tow equipment at a great value of the price.Stated working load limit/dynamic load on the pear link is 9,000lbs with each J- hook being 5,400lbs. The breaking limit is stated at 16,200lbs.With the birdle V strap, it gives a equal distribution of weight for the tow vehicle. it helps with the front frame not to bend from one side being pulled only.The birdle doesn't cut the weight in half by having two attachment points rather it's equalized when being pulled. It's safer to pull, it's more of a constant pull being solid overall and without any type of kinetic energy built up when it's pulledThat can be a good or bad thing depending on the setup and situation at hand. I feel the working load of the hooks are much more but having the pear link being of a working load of 9,000, there is much more factors of a dynamic load then of a static load.The one thing I would criticize is the length overall.With internal loads at hand and having a attached angle with the hooks it can also create a problem, by having to much of an angle at each point it's attached to the vehicle in tow, that results in higher dynamic loads being increased and if the vehicle is not capable or if the equipment fails due to higher work loads then expected is resulting in safety issues, operation issues and or if it will even be completed. The long the straps, the lower the angle it can have. I'm not going to go into a huge lesson about angle and increased loads but simply put, the angle should be less than 40degrees between the two hooks.For my application it's great and perfectly enough for its dynamic load. The J hooks are forged along with all the other links, pear link and the t-j hooks as well.This is a great tow strap for an amazing price, just make sure it is the right one for you!

Nice that these 8" J Hooks are claimed to be forged steel. Also like that the J Hooks allow for quick and easy (Strap-Chain-Rope-Cable-Shackle) Hook-Up's. As for the "V BRIDLE" type of strap set-up, I am convinced that when doing any type of vehicle recovery, its best to employ a Bridle method of recovery. This particular strap seems of good quality and will help in my efforts to better distribute the load in any recovery effort. Specifically, if a stuck vehicle has two frame-mounted recovery connection points in the direction you intend to pull, it is best to consider using both connection points by setting up a recovery bridle. Synopsis: A bridle allows the pull force on a stuck vehicle to align more closely with the center line of the vehicle. Using a single recovery point that is off-center produces a higher amount of stress on that side of the vehicle. Using two recovery points distributes the pulling force between two connections; thus, increasing safety & preventing possible frame damage.

The straps are definitely for heavy-duty use and they are reliable. I felt very secure using the straps because the quality of the material is tough fabric and the grip seemed secured. This product is useful to have and I plan on purchasing again to have a back up one. I would definitely recommend for any towing needs and would purchase again as well.

Steel hardware is individually marked with MBS and/or WLL, and the assembly is properly labeled with its Working Load Limit of 5400 lbs. It's heavy enough for most applications. The hooks are quite large with openings of around 3-1/2 inches. The webbing splicing is cross-sewn through its length.I'll be using this V-Strap with my roll-back trailer, as well as with my tractors for miscellaneous work around my property. This is a great addition to my set of straps and chains.

I ordered this tow bridle for the winch on my car trailer. I move some very low to the ground sports cars and many of them its difficult to winch them onto the trailer without the cable coming in contact with the front valance or spoiler as it starts up the ramp. This bridle is a decent improvement for that issue for me. First of all its easier to start by connecting the bridle under the car either to the front suspension or tow hooks. Once its in place where they come together is out from under the car making it easier to then connect the winch hook to it. Also having the tow point in the cent of the car means the cars go up the ramps and onto the trailer much straighter and without needing to steer the car in the process. The nylon strap lays flat if and when it touches the front of the car so it spreads the load out better and minimizes the chance of scratching the paint as the car is being loaded or unloaded. I'm not sure if the hooks are intentionally sew into the straps in opposite directions or if this is just the luck of the draw. I would prefer that both hooks went in the same direction since they typically are hooked to the car in the same way on either side of the car and it would help to keep the straps flat as they pass under the bodywork.

The J hooks are very large and big enough to grab large axle tubes. The hooks themselves are rated for 5400 lbs. The nylon strap is great, and I wanted this so that the front of the vehicle being winched is not damaged by the chain. The stitching and all loops appear very stout and well done.

These straps appear strong enough to haul (and secure) my Kubota on my trailer. The hooks are HUGE.
