Great plugs
These are a pair of smart plus that are pretty cool! It took a little bit of setting up for it to integrate with apples HomeKit and whilst I can switch them on and off easily they stats are only available if you use their app.Overall they are great quality and if for example your going on holiday these are a great way to set up lights to mimic presence etc.Connected via WiFi they can be remotely controlled and the stats help you keep on top of costs etc if you are so inclined.Great product!

Work with Home Assitant
Bought these with 50% discount for £11.49.One thing that is not optimal is the placement of the QR code on the bottom of the device which makes it impossible to scan when plugged in to a wall socket, you'll need to dig out an extension lead to simplify this bit.I have mine linked to Home Assistant set up, the smart life app looks like a data stealing nightmare (anything that ask you sign up is generally not your friend). This is bit of pfaff with Matter devices but it gets there in the end, you have to install the App on a mobile device and it sorts things out.WiFi seems to be a bit hot and miss with the sockets, one seem ok and the other patchy. If you unplug them and move them to a different socket they do come back eventually, i had to remove re-add one to get it back working with Home Assistant as it was just showing offline. I have managed to unplug and re plug in and things start working again but seems to take some time. Not seeing any power usage stats in Home Assistant at the moment if that is important to you.For the price these seem to do what they are supposed to do and will work with Home Assistant with out needing any additional set up such controllers like Zigbee or ZWave devices. These do not appear to offer Thread capability.

Very easy set up and energy monitoring capability is useful
This product has a lot going for it:It very easy to set upThe app works wellThe device itself functions exactly the wayou would anticipateGood voice assistant responseI have found the energy monitoring function very useful as it enabled me to track down a unit in my AV set up which was drawing much more power than I realised in stand by mode.I have a couple of Amazon own brand smart plugs and this works every bit as well as they do and is a bit smaller as well. The only slight downside is that the energy monitoring software could be a bit more user friendly but I worked it out in the end. That is certainly not enough of a minus to deduct a star. The Amazon plugs don't have the energy monitoring and so I see having it as a plus even if it could be a bit more intuitive.

Didn't work for me with Google Home
I already have many smart sockets of various brands, which work perfectly well with my Google Home/Assistant setup. However, I have been looking out for ones with energy monitoring, so I was delighted to be able to try these out.Unfortunately my experience was not good.I first read the instructions, which mentioned downloading a "Smart Life" app. I am reluctant to install even more apps on my phone so I was pleased to see that the instructions also mentioned how to set up the device directly using Google Home. The printing on the box also indicated "works with Hey Google", so that's what I tried. The process looked like it was going to work. Initially Google Home asked to scan the QR code on the (powered-up) device, which I did. It then progressed to "Generating Matter Credentials" and a few mores steps where it tried to connect to my Wi-Fi, but it failed at that point. I tried connecting my phone to my other Wi-Fi network ... same result. So unfortunately these will not work for me. (I was so unimpressed by this experience that I did not try downloading the Smart Life app to see if that would help.)Conclusion ... disappointed.

Good quality
I've become a big fan of these smart plugs. They're easy to set up, simple to control and give lots of data.I already have 3 smart plugs controlled with the Smart Life app and adding these two additional plugs to the app was as easy as scanning the QR code. If your setting up for the first time then the Smart Life app is pretty easy to use and there's no hub required. These plugs feel like quality items, nicely designed with lovely curved corners and the plastic is hard and durable.Using these plugs gives the user lots of data about power usage as well as timer control for off/on and remote access using your phone even when you're nowhere near them.Verdict: Great plugs with lots of versatility and easy to use.

Bright blue LED and not compatible with Home Assistant
I have several plugs from different brands, all connected using Tuya and integrated into Home Assistant. This one is a bit different, and I am not pleased.Pros:- Smaller enough to fit one next to the other on a Tesco extension cord. But just barely, they fit very tight.- Button on top instead of the side. I like that.- Good wifi reception and works fine with Tuya over Wifi.Cons:- There are little to no configuration options on Tuya. It does not allow a change in LED behaviour. It also does not display the plug status on Tuya's front page (IOS); you must get into the plug interface to check if it is on or off. This is quite a minor issue, but this is the first time I have seen this behaviour.- Bright blue LED. It is so bright that you can't use it in your bedroom, and it does not allow you to turn it off.- On Home Assistant with Tuya integration, it shows as not compatible.- The on/off button is stiff for some reason.
