Well manufactured and is a fit tool for the pupose

There was a time when Stanley tools were well made so it's sad to say that the steel square that I received was a badly made piece of rubbish with painfully rough edges.It looked and felt like an unfinished product and I had to spend the best part of an hour dressing the sharp and uneven edges with a fine diamond file to get it in anything like decent shape. Not what you expect when you pay big money for what ought to be a precision engineered tool.I ordered 2 steel rulers from another manufacturer at the same time that I ordered this. They arrived in perfect condition, beautifully finished and they cost less than a quarter of the price of this overly expensive rubbish - I'll never buy a Stanley tool again.I shop on Amazon all the time and this is the first review that I've ever been inspired to make but I'm doing this because I don't want others to fall foul of this rip off product.Keep clear - stay away - better to buy from China (honest!).

The packaging wasn't at all secure. The envelope it cane in was punctured and the entire square could have been taken out. The square itself was in great shape, accurate and is quite tough.

I am extremely satisfied with this square. It's accurate, sharp, true angle, and it's very sturdy. Not only was the price very low for such a high quality piece, but it shipped much faster than was estimated. There was literally nothing bad about this whole transaction.
