good solution for sagging doors in older houses
They are ideal for fixing doors that sag occasionally and the latch will not engage the conventional striker plate. These work great for that.

Good product and price
Unfortunately, I thought these door strikes were shorter than they were. So I can't use them. There's nothing wrong with them. I just didn't measure properly.BTW, they don't come with screws. I knew that when I bought them but just want others to be aware if they purchase them.

Great for doors that have movement in them due to settlement.
Works great for my situation where my door moves up and down due to settling and weather. It gives me flexibility for being able to latch or lock my doors in that one area of my house. The only drawback is that it comes only in one finish, but then again, it can be painted if you really needed to make it match your other hardware.

Just what I needed
I live in a hill, in a city that has terrible foundation problems. Sometimes the doors will close properly, sometimes they don't. Since I got these, large hole strike plates, that problem is resolved. If only I could add these to all my problems....

AMAZING for my constantly-shifting foundation!
My bedroom door will pop open in the middle of the night due to the temperature change and our constantly shifting foundation. I tried shifting the normal strike plate up and down, but the door position changes so dramatically during the night that I wasn't able to find a position that would allow me to shut the door both day and night. This solved my problems!!

These were a life saver in my old building
I have an old house and an old detached office building and I have to wrestle with shifting foundations all the time. I've reframed doors repeatedly and then found these.
