My main shaver is a Braun, which is an excellent razor, but a bit on the bulky side, especially when taking it on the road. I was on the lookout for a good travel razor. Many of the ones I looked at were tiny: good enough for touchups, but awkward for a full shave. The HYN-808 looked like it might travel well…and it does.The shaver itself came in a nice box with a decent set of instructions, a cleaning brush and a USB-A power cable (as seems to be norm these days, no power block was included). The shaver does not have a USB charging port. Instead, it has what looks like a standard electric razor power input; the charging cable has USB-A on one end and a standard looking electric connection on the other. This means it’s not going to be easy to find a replacement; it also means an additional cable to carry around for no apparent reason.The shaver is very light, to the point I was concerned about its quality. The body is a colorful plastic which looks nice. The foil blades are slanted, with one higher than the other. This is the first time I’ve seen this in a shaver. It looks funny, but it actually makes it a bit easier to shave. The motor is quiet and the blades do a good job. Comparing it with my Braun, I found my shaving experience was about the same. There were areas around my neck I had to go over a second time, but I had to do the same with my Braun. The upper lip area was more awkward than usual, due to the slant of the blades. All in all, it was a decent shave.Cleaning it led to my major reservation: the foil blades looked fragile. The brush got rid of the whiskers, but I felt like I had to treat them gingerly. I have concerns about its long term endurance as a daily shaver. However, it will find a place in my travel toiletry bag. Sadly, it didn’t come with a carrying bag for the accessories.Bottom line: the HYN-808 is lightweight shaver that performs well. However, the nonstandard charging cable cost it a star. As an everyday shaver, my concerns about its overall durability would knock off another star. Overall, it’s good value for the money. Four stars as a travel shaver, three stars for everyday use.

This product is excellent. You get an awesome shave and it holds a great charge.

This was fairly big for how lightweight and under-powered it was. This could be half the size because it isn't housing some huge heavy battery and it could be sold as an excellent option for backup or travel. Or it could be actually using the size and housing a huge battery or better delivery/motor. It is a pretty standard dual foil trimmer that gets the job done without too much irritation but really could be double the speed.That being said if it was much cheaper I would have nothing to complain about. It is a perfect travel shaver you would not lose sleep over if it got lost or stolen. It does get the job done, isn't pleasing in the hand but also isn't the worst design, and it is easy to clean.I don't like the non-standard USB end on the shaver itself. It actually matches one of my Norelco shavers.... however that one is not DC, it is plugged into the wall as AC and if I mix them up it would fry this one for sure. Should have both ends be some sort of USB to keep it standard.

I really LIKE the Shaver. The Shaver is REALLY EASY TO USE. The Shaver INCLUDES INSTRUCTIONS that are EASY TO READ AND FOLLOW. The Shaver is EASY TO CLEAN *Note: Please refer to the INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS for understanding of the shaver to be able to THROUGHLY CLEAN the shaver and the Dual Trimming Blades. The Shaver works GREAT with a very nice and close hair trim or hair shave. The product is actually not loud while using. The Shaver Kit does NOT come with blade lubrication oil but besides that I have NO dislikes. Thank you
