Fantastic for the purpose
I bought these to make a ton of ice before we head off to elk hunting camp where we are camping for a full week in Sept. and need a lot of ice to keep food, drinks and hopefully meat cold. These worked great. I probably made 20 ice blocks for our trip, filling up two extra coolers with just ice. I made three per day, as these would generally freeze in one night. They're made of silicone. So far no cracks or rips.Tips:1) You should plan to set these on a shelf or a flat surface in your freezer. They will hold their shape full with water, but it needs to be level. Finding flat shelf space for three can be a challenge.2) You'll need to hit them with hot water from the sink to warm the silicon and remove the ice. They don't pop out easily without warming them. The silicon is quite firm or stiff when super cold and the ice sticks to it. You won't get the ice out without running a little hot water on it.3) Once made, to avoid these freezing together as one big block, I bought a roll of small garbage bags. Much like if you bought an ice block at the store, where they are in a bag, I had mine in bags. The bags are small, thin plastic, like you would have for a 1-3 gallon trash bin in a bathroom. They're super affordable for a roll of bags. I bought 1 gallon bags, but they're a little small. The ice block fits, but there's not enough material at the top to to twist the top shut. I think 3 gallon bags would be better.4) Like all ice, the ice will expand when it's frozen. So these won't come out in perfect blocks, making it harder to stack them. They will bulge as they expand when turning from water to ice. Sometimes the sides bulge, which makes them harder to remove. Other times they expand from the top. It just makes it harder to stack them when done.

Nice size but weak mold
These are a great size mold. Definitely makes it easy to have an ice bath or chilled tub when you need fewer blocks of ice.The downside. As the ice expands to freeze, it pushes the sides of the molds out. When you go to release the ice, it will be hung up on the lip of the mold. Other molds have more rigid structures, so you can flip them upside down and the ice falls straight out. These you have to struggle with and kind of peel the lip of the mold over the expanded ice below the lip.I’m kinda stuck with these for now, but I would consider replacing these in the near future. If you haven’t purchased yet, you might be better satisfied with a slightly smaller mold that easily releases the ice.

Bought them for ice, but they have many other uses
So we bought these giant ice cube trays for making large blocks of ice that we can put in the cooler for camping (since block ice lasts so much longer than cubes). These make some giant blocks of ice, it's the perfect size for our cooler. After having them in cupboard for a while, we discovered that they also work really good as indestructible serving tub. It's ideal for holding cut up watermelon and you don't have to worry about a kid dropping and breaking it.

Big A$$ ice block
I travel a lot for work and need a cooler all weekend out in the extreme heat for staying alive. I used to buy big ice blocks on the road, but few places stock them. Big blocks stay cold so much longer. I got silicone bread pans to make ice cubes but always thought, this could be bigger. These are bigger! Here’s a pic of this ice tray in my freezer, so you can see how it dwarfs everything else. It’s a normal sized freezer. It takes 2 days to be a solid block. After a day in my regular freezer or my zero degree chest freezer, there’s still water at the center. So now they stay in two full days. But it’s still so much faster than the bread pans. I usually start them in my regular freezer because I have the flat space in there, then after a day move one to the chest freezer and start another. You can’t stack these until they’re frozen. The silicone isn’t thick enough for that. Also they must be fully supported underneath for filling. I usually balance ice trays/bread pans for filling on the counter edge and the wall between my stainless steel double sink, but this one is so big and wants to fold up, so it must be fully supported underneath. If I balance it on the bridge for filling, I have to pull up on the front wall while it fills. It’s sturdy enough so long as it’s fully on a flat surface. This would also be good as a camp sink. Could take a camp bath from it, wash dishes, i could wash my hair in it. Glad I bought them.

Heavy duty form makes large ice cube
We use these molds for our ice bath. These ice molds are very heavy duty but collapse well (need a bungee or tie to keep them collapsed) and can be stored relatively flat to take up less room. They sit nicely on the freezer rack since the material is so heavy. We put these in the freezer on Friday night and they were ready to go on Sunday. This is a great way to fill your ice bath. It would take a few uses to pay for themselves.

Great for freezing large blocks of ice
This is a three piece set of silicon containers that can freeze large blocks of ice. There isn’t any problems with getting the ice out of the silicon molds. The ice lasts a long time and easy to handle compared to plastic bags of ice. I also use them as storage containers for the refrigerator when not using them to make ice blocks. The molds are sufficiently thick and shouldn’t tear or rip while using them.
