Essential upgrade for sure
This coil is noticeably lighter! I was out last night and it performed excellent. You dont loose much surface area vs the 11 inch coil, and no apparent loss of depth. I was swinging it for hours and my arm wasn't feeling fatigued at all. I'd give it A++ rating. Bottom line: If you have the money buy it, you'll be happy, if not stick with 11in coil.

The perfect size for my needs
I prefer this Manticore M9 coil to the M11. The M11 is good for wide open spaces, but since the inland detecting I do are comprised of narrower strips of land that contain iron and some other trash, the M9 is the perfect size. The M9 will be my primary coil for inland and fresh water (dry sand) detecting, and the M8 for goldfield detecting.
