FiiO K19 Dual ES9039SPRO Desktop DAC HiFi Audio DSD512, 31-Band PEQ, XMOS XU-316 for HDMI/Coaxial/Optical Audio Decoder (Silver)

Coming from the K9 ESS Pro which for me was a new level in how much I paid for a FiiO product. This guy is 1300 US! It is worth $1300? Now that's subjective. The problem I had with the K9 ESS Pro is it was a very technical DAC/AMP which had no bass boost or "hardware" EQ, I was instantly disappointed in how life less it sounded. I got over it, and kept it as it was a good all in one. What drew me to the K19 was obviously the Lossless PEQ, and my familiarity to fiiO DAC/AMPs. I watch a few reviews on YT. Reviewers gave this unit high marks, but also negatively spoke about it's over technical sound which is described as sounding like the K9. EQ is mentioned in these reviews, but not tried. If you haven't caught on already, I'm definitely that guy that will use an EQ to color my listening experience!I always first test using my Audese LCD-X headphones connected using 4.4 balanced cables, listening to Earth, Wind & Fire - All 'N All "DSD64." While on the K9 ESS Pro, this album sounded weak and lifeless, and you're stuck because you can't "software EQ" DSD. However on the K19 with its PEQ using either Rock, or R&B this album sounded amazing. I loved it out of the box, but other reviews talk about letting it burn in for about 50 hours.

Used for my HD800S, very impressive performance, though for sure with this price, but I liked it. Only thing to complaint is the delivery. The package looked damaged. But the box is fine, so I kept it. Otherwise may be returned.
