simply...it works and is simple to put into operation
Been working as expected for year in my pond... try to size correctly which may take some figuring!Was hoping to find a filter box to put it in but so far no luck, they are all too small.

Worked less than 3 mos
Update: After reading my review, the company sent me a replacement pump. That’s true customer service! Hoping it works well this time.At first we thought this pump was great. After using less than 3 mos, it just quit. We have checked for the obvious (power, etc) but have determined it’s the pump. Very disappointed because it’s past the return window and now our fish are without circulating water.

Stopped working in 6 months but the company issued a full refund
Quit after 6 months. It moved plenty of water but was the most troublesome pump I've had. Very finiky about the water level . Then just stopped working completely. Will never buy this brand againUpdate; after seeing my review the seller gave me a full refund. It was unexpected and very appreciated! It's good to see a company standing behind their products. It leads me to believe the problem with my pump is unusual . I will not hesitate to by another one from them next time I have to replace one of my pumps.

Worked perfect
Our pond pump started acting up so we decided to get a new one. This pump was easy to replace our old pump yet, we already had everything in place (tubing, rocks). Even if we hadn’t had everything setup I still feel it would be easy to install. My only concern is we have water plants and I am worried it will suck in their roots. That part is on us and not the actual pump.

Will not work well for a 1600 gal pond w/waterfall.
I have a 1600 gal pond so thought this would be sufficient. It is not. After 2 days it would not pump at all, took it apart and cleaned it and it started working again. The problem is that it is not strong enough to pump the water through my filtration system and then to my waterfall.I used the mesh bag but all that did was stick to the intake when even a small amount of trash was on it. Had already tossed the box so can't return it. Will just have to use it as a simple fountain type pump.Not worth what I paid for it and am not really happy. Also, it makes a lot more noise than my other pump which is 3600 gph.
