Beautiful book, magazine-like content
This book is beautifully illustrated, as you'd hope for a book on design. The content reads as a series of entries, almost like encyclopedia entries, on different design principles. These are collected into chapters. There is a broad theme of the political nature of design, but nothing judgemental. It's more of a "design can be political, here are some examples of biases baked into certain design styles, go figure".It's all a bit disconnected, which makes it a quite a good coffee table book as you can pick up anywhere and put it down whenever. Just don't expect a thorough look into any particular topic.

What an excellent book!
This book really questions design from a political point of view and helps the reader to consider design from different perspectives. It is very topical in light of the 'Black Lives Matter' protests from the Summer. An easy read and gives a very nice overview without being 'heavy'.

A must read
This book was an amazing discovery for such a small price. Talks about design everywhere in the world and helps us understand every culture, language and design better
