Pros and cons
PRO: There was never a dull moment. It was action from one chapter to the next. I could not put this book down. It reminded me of sherrilyn Kenyons writing. Its been a long time reading to find an author who can properly balance broken men warring with their inner demons and allowing themseles to trust again for love and it still be believable. It was executed perfectly, I will be binging the rest of the series.CON: I might be nitpicking, but something that irked me was the elven speech. There were times I felt the formality didn't match that of a sheltered queen in how she spoke. Phrases like "I liked it" just seemed off to me. For an educated queen, her inner dialog should have been more proper like "I had desired such a thing." I also got a bit turned around in the beginning because of such similar names being used but that is probably my own forgetfulness at play.

A great story with likeable characters
Aside from the occasional spelling/grammar errors, I found this book to be a great read. I adore Rhianelle, and Svenn is the kind of male lead I've been searching for. The lore and magic systems are intriguing, and I am eager to discover what awaits Nel and Svenn in the upcoming books. I've preordered it and am counting the days to the next release.

Found it on Tiktok, LOVED IT
It was definitely not what I was expecting, I loved the characters. I was expecting a love triangle, and that didn't happen. I'm glad though because I love the direction the story went. I do feel like this book could have been way longer, I don't feel that was a good spot to end book 1. But everything was played out in my head so nice, the details- perfect. I could visualize everything happening in the story. I can tell you if this author makes even more books- IM HOOKED. 💙

Amazing characters and love building
I struggle with grammatical errors, but the characters in this book are amazing.I also struggle with the fact that I feel like some plot building is missing in this book? I can't quite pinpoint what it is, but there's something missing in the plot setting. Like, I feel like we're jumping from one dramatic to the other. Which is okay, but I do like build ups. I get a little lost in some of the explanations of how things are occurring or how things shift from touch to touch or words to words. It's a little difficult to follow for me personally. But here comes the amazing things that make the bad worth going through. (The 'bad' lightly)I enjoy a female leader who is confident and powerful but doesn't frown on the fact that she needs her man. I feel so often, nowadays, in books, women are portrayed to be strong, feared, and powerful, needless women. When it's not realistic. All women need someone. And I love that Rhianelle is powerful and strong, but she is not afraid to show Svenn that she needs and wants him. Svenn is just 👩🍳 💋 (chefs kiss). I love a powerful, possessive, and dominant man. He's perfect. Don't change a thing on him lol. So is Rhianelle. She's amazing!I also enjoy the openness and broadness of the fantasy fiction elements. All things are a go. There are no limits. No stops to the possibilities. It's so great. It has every element of fantasy fiction that I just truly enjoy!

LOVE!
What took me so long to read this story is the majority of the books I read are of human fmc who grow, & learn on their journey throughout a story, with lots of 🌶️ of course lol but I kept seeing advertisements after advertisements on TikTok & Instagram I finally decided to just start it, & I’m definitely not disappointed. I wish I had started reading this story sooner. The fmc in this book is a powerful elf, but she still has her weaknesses to work through. And I love how she seems to collect powerful beings, mainly hot male characters to help her lol I definitely love the mmc so far, & how he has his own growth & healing to go through. What I also love the most about this book is all the 🌶️! I HAVE to have good 🌶️ & this author writes 🌶️ like I expect & like. Lots of good tension, but also lots of 🌶️. This 1st book was definitely well written, & fun to read. I don’t even remember any part of the book feeling like fluff or boring. I hope the next books in this series are just as good. I’ll have to consider buying special editions to add to my collection. The author did a great job, & I’m excited to continue reading this series, & any other stories they write. Coming from a reader who reads about 100 books a year, mainly paranormal romance novels this author writes exactly how I like. That can be hard to find for me. So THANK YOU!! ♥️

Plot Missing
This is a fantastic book. However, it’s hard to read. There’s a lot of plot and details missing. It kinda jumps all over the place so you have to really pay attention otherwise you’re lost. Also too many of the names are similar making it hard to keep up with who’s who. It will not stop me from continuing to read it though and if you give it a chance you’ll love it too.

Loved it
Been in a bit of a slump after finishing first wing/iron flame and ACOTAR. This book HIT. The world building in the first part was a little confusing but it's smooth sailing after she meets the MMC. The lead is such a likable character- she's strong, smart and kind without being gullible and a welcome reprieve from the needy and self sabotaging type. I do think the ending point of this book was a bit strange- I felt like I was 3/4 way done when it suddenly was over. But maybe the author has a reason for that. Nevertheless, I absolutely loved it and will be waiting for the next book's release date.

Easy to lose time while reading
I enjoyed this book. I have questions that will only be answered next I assume. I was so into my reading, when I moved for the next page and there was none I audibly whined lol. Thank goodness for ebooks, I don't have to wait to continue!
