Great camp kitchen knife
This folding chef knife is great for camp kitchen tasks. It packs small and keeps the blade protected while rattling around in the back of a vehicle but has a long enough blade for most meal prep chores. Came very sharp right out of the box.

Wow!!
This is a magnificent knife. It's beautiful and is as sharp as a razor right out of the box. It's boxed very well and would be quite a gift. Very very impressive.

Better than I imagined, part of my travel kit now
It took me a while to decide which blade style would suit me best. Full disclosure I received this item as part of a promotion. Promotion or no; it was difficult for me to imagine keeping the folding mechanism clean or free from debris. How would I clean this? As other reviewers have described; out of the box these are relatively sharp. As somebody who has a small collection of knives of varying kind and type, these are sharp but not over enthusiastically so as other reviewers have described. Time will tell how the blade holds up and when it needs sharpening. I am surprised with the comfort of the grip once unfolded. These are manually unfolding and liner locked. If you are expecting a flipper knife you will be disappointed. Nonetheless; when locked, the blade feels secure and sturdy and good in the hand. I myself wondered what the use scenarios would be for such a knife. I selected the drop point blade over the Japanese style chef knife styles because I thought I could get more use out of a blade made for utility. This blade currently serves as my office steak knife and it performs wonderfully in that regard. Sometimes I'll slice up things like citrus and it does great. Not a problem for slicing or peeling. I will give it a clean with a food grade baby wipe and a dry with a tissue or paper towel and that is it. If you have not experienced eating chicken or steak with a sharp and sturdy knife ; without using lots of sawing motions, I highly recommend it. This knife performs really well in that regard, in my travel kit it goes, ready for a road trip. My only note of significance is that the curve part of the blade was unexpectedly the least sharp. That's not to say it was dull but certainly closer to the grip the sharper the knife. Overall recommended.

Very cool folding cooks knife for camping or travel
I'll say right off that while I quite like the G10 handle texture, CO Ski Mom wasn't thrilled with it. I was a bit worried about the narrow-seeming handle itself, but the shape and size seem to work very well when actually in-hand. I'm impressed with the ball-bearing lock, and while not a huge fan of pocket clips, removal of one Torx bolt is all that's needed to make this clip-less should you desire. It seems like folks today look down their noses as 440C steel, but it's been a solid no-stain knife steel for a lot of decades and I'm not complaining about avoiding the price impact of a "super steel" in something I plan to take out into the woods camping to potentially lose! It's winter when I write this review, so an in-the-field report will have to wait for summer, but in the meantime I can pretty heartily recommend this knife for anyone looking for an easily portable cooking knife option.

Impressive portable knife with a great handle to hold
We've been needing a nice knife to take with us on our winery trips. It's not easy to carry a knife in a wine pack/bag that can slice sausage or cheeses. This knife will be the perfect addition as it folds up. We chose the petty knife because it resembles a chef's knife that can slice easily. The knife handle is weighted so it feels good to grip. The blade is nicely honed too. Comes in a little pouch with a cloth that will be convenient to wipe down before folding it down. The blade is very sharp. This is a great knife to have and pack with us on some of our outings like day hikes or trips to the wineries. We're not much of campers but I would think this would be a good knife for that occasion too.

Neat and well made portable chef's knife!
Good quality blade, great shape for slicing and dicing and other tasks you'd use a chef's knife for. Medium weight, a good compromise for portability. Showed it to my knife collecting friend, he thought it was good, but thought the closing action was a little odd. Still, when closed its' secure, and also when open.
