Howard Miller Millersburg Wall Clock II 549-527 – Oak Yorkshire Home Decor with Wood Pendulum, Brass Bob with Quartz, Dual-Chime Movement

This clock is just beautiful. I wasn't expecting it to be so nice. The case is all wood and just lovely. Easy to set up and hang. Was prepared for an ordeal but no. The chimes are also quite good. I have a large, weight driven grandfather floor clock and while the chimes are not the resonating ones on the floor clock, they are quite good. For the money and the ease of not having to pull up weights or wind, this is clock is great. I pondered a long time on a wall clock and will have to say that so far, I am super pleased.

As you can see, I disassembled, painted, and reassembled mine to match my beach condo.Me personally - I don’t want the chimes on and so I’ve always left them off; I’m not sure what they sound like.The only thing, and I don’t blame Amazon for this because Amazon simply used the same stock photo from Howard Miller’s website, but if you take a look at the stock picture, the dial is distinctively yellow. This made me believe that the dial was brass and I was specifically after that yellow metal dial look. I was a bit surprised to have it show up and the dial be silkscreen printed on a slightly off-white dial instead of brass. But it’s otherwise very nice.

It’s SAD how such a Great Name in clocks have become a Hollow PLASTIC CHINA clock.. !! This is ALL Computer chip driven clock SO ?? Why can’t it have a every SECOND TICK-TOCI ?? Just like the Old fashioned clocks !! HOW DIFFICULT could This be to Program In a chip ??? This Clock is CREEPY CREEPY SILENT !!! A wall clock Needs to Tick-Tock ?? Ahh I Hated it & it was Returned THE NEXT DAY !!! Just beware !! No mention of the SILENCE in between 1/2 hr & hr chime &’WHY Not just have a hour # chime Instead of LIMITED CHIME Options !! I don’t want to hear WESTMINSTER !! Just the Dang Hour # !! So Disappointed…
