Really good sound quality, but some very minor niggles
With an asking price currently at 120 quid, I would normally err away from brands I hadn’t met before, like iKF in this case. But this is a chance to get quality headphones that arguably compete with Sony, Jabra and other brand headphones at around double the price. In several ways these are as good, or almost as good. The sound quality is great. It’s a really well-rounded sound that copes with the whole spectrum of audible sound with a great clarity, they’re fantastic for losing yourself in noisy dance music but they also sound bright listening to classical or audiobooks. For over one hundred quid I’d want headphones to sound really, really good, and these do.The noise cancelling is also great. The physical shape of the headphones helps with that, with cups that are quite broad but soft, and even when switched off there’s a noticeable passive noise cancellation just in wearing them- but coupled with a seemingly rather smart active noise reduction, you really can block out a lot of the outside world with these. There’s no super-clever ‘voice cut-through’ option, the ANC is only on or off, but that’s OK.I got a black pair and I like the sleek minimalism and curves of them. The gold on the branding and around the exterior hole isn’t too ‘bling’ and they do end up looking very smart. There are a couple of things that I do think are less than perfect. For example, I like the spoken word ‘power off’ or ‘pairing’ messages that other headphones offer to let you know what’s happening- here, you get a series of slightly cryptic sound effects instead. The product box is covered in mandarin (I think) symbols, just a few words of English and nothing else, so for an English speaker there are essentially no instructions provided. Thankfully everything’s mostly quite intuitive, and if you’ve paired Bluetooth devices to your phone before and you can remember how to do it, you’ll have no problem with these. The app seems to have relatively few downloads (less than 10K on the Play Store when I downloaded it, and no reviews at all), and it requires registration with your phone number to use it- so when I had a look at the (very limited) documentation to see what features it added, I decided not to bother installing it. The only real feature seems to be EQ’ing, and I don’t need that for two reasons- firstly the music player app I use already has EQ features, and secondly, the sound quality is very nicely balanced and I don’t feel any need to adjust it.Considering the asking price, and how you’ll have to be a fairly advanced audiophile to be able to tell the difference between these and some famous brand headphones that are far more expensive, I am tempted to give them five stars. It’s just in some of the tiny details that they fall slightly short, for me. If I could give them four-and-a-half stars, I would.

Good pair of headphones
The media could not be loaded. Although an owner of many a pair of Bluetooth/Wired headphones I can honestly say I have never heard of IKF solo before, and to be honest they are good, not bad or brilliant just good, but that is okay for a mid budget pair of headphones.Everything is nicely packaged when it arrives and even though I became a tad worried to see instructions in a foreign language I soon became reassured once I had unpacked completely. In the box are a nice well made pair of phones, a detachable headphone, a USB c cable and a nice bag to carry Everything around with you, and finally hidden in the bottom of the box English instructions 😀The headphones are a great fit for me and are very good at blocking out noise before you even turn ANC on, made out of a nice polished material and with very comfortable ear cushions they certainly give the appearance of being a lot more costly than they are.The headphones can be used via a Bluetooth connection that is very stable or the more traditional wired one, the sound doesn't seem to suffer too much whatever option you choose, setting up Bluetooth and anc is very easy if you have had experience of Bluetooth headphones before otherwise the notes are very helpful. Now the most important part, the sound quality! To be honest you get what you pay for and I found these headphones lacking in bass, especially as I'm a fan of rock and metal, don't get me wrong the sound is ok just not as good as other headphones I have, but bear in mind I paid over a 100 pound more a pir for them, it's average as I said earlier. You can improve sound quality by tapping the ANC button and navigating through the various modes and bass can be improved a bit, after use the headphones fold up very nicely and fit in the bag supplied. To sum up a good pair of headphones for their price range, very pleased as I will use these on my commute whilst listening to my audio books.
