Fastest USB4 SSD case and chip in H1 2024.
Genuinely achieves 3200MB/s on MacBook Pro (M1 Max) using WD SN850X SSD (2TB) using the supplied cable. However, curiously, I cannot achieve anything close to this speed with any of my longer USB4 cables, even though they are rated for 40Gbps speed. I am not sure why?This enclosure uses the same ASMEDIA ASM2464PD chipset as the Zike drive, which seems to be the fastest performing chipset currently available (June 2024).Superb build quality as always from Satachi. Colour-wise, it is darker than Apple's original silver anodised aluminium, but paler than the space grey. It matches neither. I only mention because I could not tell from photos and nobody else mentioned it.
