I am so happy I bought this gate. I bought 3 of them. I have a male cat who is an EXTREME bully to my other male. He would KILL him if he could get to him. So I've had to keep them separated by taking turns. One cat gets full run of the house while the other is in a bedroom with the door closed with me. I have 4 cats they all get along except for the bully with my other male. Sometimes there will be 3 cats in the room with me and the other cat out in the main house alone. Even for just a few hours this made me feel HORRIBLE. But I didn't know what else to do. I take turns one night I sleep with my bully and the next night I sleep with the other male cat. I have bought and tried EVERYTHING to get the bully to stop but he won't. He is a very demanding cat even with me. Of late he will sit outside the room I am in with my bullied child AKA cat. and the bully will cry and cry and carry on. Thus causing me MORE guilt. It makes no sense. He wants to kill him yet if he can't be close to where he's at he will sit there and cry and cry. My patience was at the end. We have to live like crazy people trying to keep the cats happy. But this gate was the answer!!! My boy is safe and my bully can see him and all that's going on but can't get to him so he is included in ALL the family time. No cat ever has to feel "alone" even for a second with this gate. When I say he is a bully it's beyond that. He was given to me by people who could no longer keep him and the first day I had him he sent me to the ER blood was everywhere. He attacked another male cat I had at the time. And I tried to stop it anyway I could and ended up hurt. But I love all my cats and I couldn't see getting rid of him. Over the years I've had to jump through hoops to make it safe. I don't know why I didn't find this sooner. My vet recommended I give him cat drugs but I just didn't have the heart to drug my cat. This is the answer I've needed for a LONG long time. It is sturdy my bully is like 50 pounds. He can try as hard as he wants but he can't get through. And it was so easy to install. If you can hang up a shower curtain rod then you can do this. It took under 15 min. Like I said this gate has been a life saver. Makes for a happier more peaceful guilt free home!!!!!!! And I have 3 of them for all over the house. Don't hesitate to get this. You'll be so glad you did. ***UPDATE*** I mentioned I purchased 3 of these gates. Truthfully I was hoping to find a gate this tall and 80 inches wide for at the bottom of the stairs into the kitchen but no one makes a gate that wide being this tall so I was going to have a handyman custom build something to make it work. Turns out I didn't need it. Since I purchased 3 of these gates for 3 doors each gate comes with 2 extension pieces (if you need them.) I didn't need them for the regular sized doors but for this 80 inch wide project I was able to take the extra 3 extension pieces from the 3 gates (the extension pieces I didn't need for the other doors) and combine them all together and it works perfectly!!!! I even have 2 smaller extension pieces leftover. All the extension pieces connect at the top and at the bottom. So it is nice and sturdy. This gate is really customizable. I don't know if they sell the extension pieces separately but they should because I used them to make an 80 inch wide 71 inch tall cat gate. And my cats couldn't be happier!!!!! If gives them way more freedom. This gate is Worth every penny and then some. And so easy to install.

Finally an attractive gate that thwarts even my high jumper cat. I don't want the cats in the bedroom, but also don't want to shut the door. Or when the door is shut, I don't want the cats to be able to reach through and bang on the door. It opens easily and smoothly. There is a small frame to step over, nothing wheeled can roll through the gateway. The opening is wide enough to carry a laundry basket through. The gate is easy to install and feels solid. I don't like feeling like I'm in jail, but the alternative was to get rid of the cats. The gate wins.

I'm very glad with the quality of this baby gate. I am 5'8 and it is taller than me. The only problem that I've experienced is tightening it and if your dog likes to body slam things they might be able to get through. But it is very sturdy. It's nice and tall and it's outlasted all of our other baby gates

We installed the door today and being elderly in our 70's I expected the worst. Not bad at all. One person could install it but it was easy with the two of us. The extra pieces weren't needed and once we figured out the right holes we had no problem getting it erected and working perfectly. Narrow door and the extra side pieces weren't needed but would be easy to use. Their were two extra pieces for the floor that had a sticky side, but the center piece seems enough so we saved those if we need them. Overall, the door seems sturdy and strong and well built.Rusty the cat should be well contained and hopefully safe and won't get out. Easy open and safely closes, just be sure it is latched correctly.Just an added note after using door for a few days. Inside latch works perfect. Outside latch goes down but does not slide back to secure in place. I don't see any way it could be replaced as it seems to be welded to the frame. We have been reaching through the bars to also close the inside lock for added security. So not a big issue, but still a slight problem.
